In terms of the Sabres, was wondering last night before the game even if we were in game 30 of an 80 game schedule, would the calls to trade the captain and the goalie be as loud? Would we want to see to game 50 maybe? And then you see last night...and now what do i think? Team that plays that hard i can love! And, as bad as Myers has been, was it just cause e was so far out of shape physically it affected his confidence? Ed Kilgore said last on radio Myers apologized to his teammates he was so far out of shape, first I had heard that.

I must say I do like the Shift as a nice session beer, good flavor, only 5 % ABV, and it comes in cans which I really like. Only problem is all 16 oz cans, prefer the 12 oz. Great you enjoyed the dinner, and BTW, too much smoke can and does ruin plenty of meats. Is the Abbey the Trippel?

Maybe cause I am in Richmond, do it all the time for Sabres and Bils games. At very least, with dinner, dishes , homework etc, we very rarely start watching weeknight games till 8 30.

Googled it, it was on both. Lake Placid game we had the NFL Swimming Championship that night so was on bus when live on CBC, and then meet when shown on US TV. They announced score at meet, crowd went nuts. Had to watch replay next day, saw the Gold game live Who did you swim for? I was at LaSalle

I be just old enough to be on board since day 1. I swam for the Falls Y team, and we had practice from 5.30 to 7.30. vivid memories of Mom picking us up from practice and listening to the games on way home on radio. I think maybe 8 games a year on TV back then, man what a night we made of it when the Sabres were on TV . No way we could afford tickets to the game, so I vividly remember going into the Aud for my first game in 78 when I was a sophomore in high school with a friend who had seasons in the upper Blues..wow! Even with the TVs LOL Someone mentioned open practice..Lordy what a big deal that was for us back then. Just started dating my wife night of the 4 OT Devils game. She asked what I was doing, told her going to bar (no directv back then)to watch Sabre game, told she was fine to tag along but I was there to watch game first and foremost. She was a champ and stayed through the whole game, wanted to make sure I got home okay after I started in on the beers at 6.30 pm. We were married Sept 27, 1997, Lindys first game was October 1997...I cannot believe he has been coach for the entirety of my marriage, and we laughed about that last night. BTW, some mentioned Peter Puck on HNiC, I could swear that was on the NBC national games when NBC had the NHL in the mid 70's, but maybe it was on both??
