  1. I will respectfully disagree, I don't think any other player gets that call in that situation except Crosby. Not his fault , nor anything he did wrong...just got a call no else would..only in my. Opinion of course
  2. It's good to be the king...ie Crosby. Man, what a call...last time Isles were in playoffs Sabres got all the calls...feel for their fans.
  3. So dude on TV just said Frac Man been training well....telling you as Buffalo sports fans , we need a win at 22-1. I may up from $2 to $5 across BTW, Twinspires .com slow as chit, if using I would make all bets with at least 5 minutes to post
  4. Been a long day of honeydoos to get the funds released, but released they are LOL. Just heading out to watch now, just bet Optimizer,....damn that Wise Dan was hand ridden !! Holy chit...is it really almost two hours to the Derby?
  5. We are similar Weave...Cranitas (recipe from ATK , no frying) chips and homemade Guac, and grilled tequila lime shrimp, Texmati rice with toasted almonds and apricot. I don't know why, but I like the Tecate in the can, so that is beer of choice. Three couples, should be fun
  6. Thats why you smarter than me! Just like Pletcher, thought her getting crushed at the gate really compromised her chances. Still cant wait for tomorrow, just need to cook a good dinner tonight, do the honey dos tomorrow, and ask for an advance on the Preakness Money LoL
  7. So 8/5 on Julia looks great...and i am not a chalk player. Jesus, that horse went 2 seconds faster than the boys on Fl derby-day. GODD, need you quiick to talk me out of trying to double my bankroll for the weekend right now. Does this horse bounce? Too late, bet 80 % of my bankroll on her to win...go Julia Well, lets hope wifeypoo sees her way to feel pity on me and releases some funds tomorrow LOL Rough trip ate to wire on Julia
  8. Here is link to Beyers pick ..he like Goldensense. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/othersports/kentucky-derby-goldencents-is-obvious-choice-for-good-reason/2013/05/02/7d936776-b329-11e2-bbf2-a6f9e9d79e19_story.html BTW, his Derby picks usually suck, while his Breeders Cup picks are outstanding. Interesting thought on how moving to points vs money won should impact the race. BTW, no matter what you think of TPEGS, if you are on this board you need to at least throw $2 WPS on the # 18...Frac Daddy no?
  9. Thank you for this, greatly appreciated! Would love your thoughts as the week evolves..I will not be betting till 10 minutes before post on Twinspires.Any info and leans greatly appreciated
  10. No way to coach speed as they say. Need some picks GODD, just have not followed this year. Thought I read somewhere Rosie has a horse. My biggest hit ever in a Triple Crown race was when Julie rode Colonial Affair and I had the exacta. Being superstitious, I will always bet a female jockey in a TC race. The other bet I always make is a exacta box with all the jocks who started in MD..so Kent, Edgar, Rosie etc. Has actually paid pretty gos a few times, though I am sure a net loser. Same for trainers.
  11. Found this article bt Beyer interesting. In short, Laurel had a rash of breakdowns, and found out 50 % were $5k claimers. Here is a portion of the article ●It is also considering a limit on the size of purses in low-level claiming races, having learned a lesson from Aqueduct’s experience. The New York track’s rash of breakdowns in 2012 occurred after casino money had boosted purses to unprecedented levels. Bottom-level $7,500 claimers were competing for as much as $40,000 — an irresistible incentive for unscrupulous trainers to do anything in order to get a cheap horse to deliver a maximum performance. The New York Times headline summed it up: “Big Purses, Sore Horses and Death.” interesting to me, never thought the slot money would have that unintended consequence. 12. Good read on a rainy Sunday afternoon.pretty cool idea Not possible
  13. Bought a six of the Starr Hill Saison after having a draft the other night. I like a Saison, and this one is pretty good. No doubt drinkable Not as good as the Hennepin, but $8.99 for a six as compared to $10.99 for the 4 pack of the Hennepin.
  14. I just completed the Arbitron survey for the past week..i was shcocked to see how much i actually listen to WGR seeing as how I live in Richmond VA. Sign of the times I guess, for while i lisetened to almost 5 hours of radio a day on average, none of it was a local Richmond station. I work at home, so no need for traffic etc.
  15. Making fun of all us that post in this thread :w00t:
  16. This was posted by Poojer on OTW.. http://vimeo.com/64558227
  17. Guess i will peek in during commercials of rhe Masters.
  18. What do you think the over under on total # of eyeballs watching this on TV this afternoon? My gut is more people in the stands than watch in Philly and Buffalo combined.
  19. I think they had a massive emotional let down after the Winnipeg game. I get it. We all said they needed that win to stay in the race. Impossible for that not to affect you in my eyes. Felt worse about some the efforst earlier in the season when they were still trying to get back in the race.
  20. Wow, went through the game in 20 minutes. Just watched post game..Ott throwing out FBombs in his interview, rolston being the tool he always is, Duffer quoting Myers as saying worst effort from the eteam since he has been a Sabre..Miller looking suicidal...really think forfeitng is a better option at this point. Having said that, I was all in till the other night on wining out..think they wee too and the loss took all their energy
  21. Anyone going out to watch this in the Hershey/Harrisburg area? I will find a bar, just wanted to see if someone else wanted to meet up.
  22. Friggen Leafs, what is that two posts and a missed open net in the 3rd? BTW, I like being outside watching games in shorts again. Enough for me to keep rooting for the Sabres to stay in it.
  23. Nash is a bull this game.....wow BTW, look like Rangers gunna tie his up soon
  24. The nonsense is commenting on the home crowd...never leads to anything good in any city. Like i said, i am like everye other Sabre fan, feel Ott is a breath of fresh air and a guy I want here long term and wearing the C. Having said that,Not one player in any town, on any team, that criticizes the home crown and it turns out good...see the post above that said Twiiter is ablaze with reaction to the teams talking about the crowd. This is the 2nd time Ott has said something..he just needs to stop.
  25. On the booing..I am not one to boo, but don't mind when other people do. BTW, I am almost 100% certain I heard the Pens fans booing the other night, did not hear their players whining about it. And that was in the midst of a 14 game win streak, the trades just happened, and with a core of players that have won a cup. And playing without the best player in the world. Now that is harsh. I love Otter, but he has to stop this nonsense of talking about he crowd..
