Housley Should Have Until End of December

“Big fund raiser last night at HarborCenter for U.S. Senate candidate Karin Housely of Minnesota, wife of Sabres Coach Phil Housely. Tickets at $1,000 and $2,700 at event hosted by Terry and Kim Pegula and Nick Sinatra.” I think I realize why any amount of Googling would not yield the Tweet. He misspelled the candidate's last name. -

Got it. It was Twitter. What - what happened there? Weird. And sorta cool. -

Right. But where'd I see the report that the Pegulas hosted a $2500/plate dinner for her at their Marriott? Can't find it anywhere now - so I infer it was on the Twitter and it's disappeared. -
It may be a sign of my own aging that I thought to myself "Gilbert's looking well!"

The what now?

Can't recall where I saw it/read it, but wasn't there a news item recently saying that the Pegulas had hosted a big ticket fundraiser for Housley's wife? -
Is that totally predictable, or somewhat interesting? I seem to recall that there are some wrinkles that can make these ELC's not so cookie cutter.

What's so intriguing about a guy wanting to wear a lucky number?

There's language and tone in there that are obstacles to me. But I think I'm starting to gain a more nuanced understanding of how people feel about the issue. Maybe it partly arises from ^ this ^. What is @Alysonesque saying there? She's saying that it's wrong (violent, in fact) to look at a baby's genitals at birth (their sex) and assign them a male/female designation (their gender)? I'm not sure I can get on board with that. -

I agree with what you've posted above. I am all for kindness, and allowing people to become who they feel they are and must be in order to be who they are and must be. I think the discussion I am seeking is maybe a little more theoretical. In any case, this showed up on my Twitter this morning, and I find myself struggling with the theoretical principles of this all over again. Comrade Elon Husk ? @Alysonesque FollowFollow @Alysonesque More Trans women are not men who became women. They are women who were coercively and violently assigned male at birth by a patriarchal society obsessed with sexual difference and heterosexual coding of infants. Want to overcome heteropatriarchy? Then respect trans women. 1:15 PM - 7 Jul 2018 -
In fairness, Borque is really an outlier. As is Ryan Miller. The large majority of those guys occupy a middle range that is decidedly non-cerebral, IMO. I mean, I think Eichel is a bright, savvy, funny guy. But cerebral? Not so much.
-
And that latter group are Albert Einsteins compared to, say, a Ray Borque. Holy moley, that guy.
-
I mean, we’ve got Okposo. Can’t rightly sign another good, not great, winger whose best work is largely behind him.
-
Yeah - no thanks.
-
That’s not a paradigm I’m proposing (cerebrals/dumb gladiators). They may have lots of thoughts about many things (such as the number they want to wear) and they may even veer into being head cases at times, but pro athletes, as a cohort, are far from cerebral.
-
[Enego Montoya voice]: I do not think that word means what you think it means. I can’t think of a less cerebral cohort of people than pro athletes.
-
Whaaaaaa —.
-
It’s griping over the Eichel 15s and 9s that grinds my gears, I guess. Not here necessarily. Also, I am drinking.
-
Now I love it again.

I loved this topic, until it evolved (devolved?) into perseveration over jerseys owned.
-
Twitter is lousy with dweebs crying over now having the "wrong" number.
-
It looks right. I can't find the quote about when he chose 15 - but he alluded to the fact that he likes the low numbers. 9 is good and low. YES!
