    The bye week concept certainly hasn't panned out the way the NHL was probably envisioning it, the Sabres are far from the only team to come out completely flat from their bye

    The Sabres had their backs to the wall going into the third period down by two goals, and actually rallied to win the game instead of rolling over and dying. Remarkable.

    It looks like their heads collided, which is what knocked Laine out. McCabe may have been cut from that.

    The Sabres hung up four on the Rangers last month as well, they need to play Lundqvist more often to get the offense flowing I guess

    I don't care what anybody says, I love a good hockey fight. When they came apart and started shadow boxing and then Marcus returned fire it was awesome.

    I didn't even realize until after the game that Grant was finally scratched - I hope that experiment is permanently over, honestly.

    He did kick it, but it hit the goalie first so is that really "directly" into the net?

    I don't think so. Foligno fought with Mark Borowiecki. There was a tangle of players in the corner that they were both in, when Foligno came back around Borowiecki probably asked to fight to try and spark his team.
