  1. Bylsma lead a post tank team led by Chad Johnson, Josh Gorges, Cody Franson and rookie Jack Eichel to 81 points, the most points by a Sabres team in the last 10 years. But yeah, let's throw him under the bus because whatever.
  2. Rumor has it that TP wants UPL to take the reigns this season. He wants to give him every chance to be the starter 😳
  3. Let's review the "injury"..... Feb 23rd, injured vs NJD. Scratched the next two games. Feb 28th, comes back to play the next 5 games, logging ~20min/gm. Mar 7th plays his last game of the season. Mar 9th, "out at least a week" - RK Mar 13th, "out for foreseeable future but not season ending" - RK It's been almost 6 months since the injury that he already returned to play from and was not expected to be season ending. I'm not a doctor, but shouldn't the initial evaluation/scan have revealed the severity of the injury? Just seems odd that the injury seemingly has become worse over time. Secondly, ADR has never been done on an NHL player. Has fusion? On a 24 year old? I'm just having a hard time believing he's first guy in the history of the NHL to require this type surgery to return to play.... especially considering he played 5 more games after the injury before shutting it down.
  4. We are officially entering a 2 week window where I've been predicting a trade is most likely to happen (mid-August). 🤔
  5. He'll report but immediately go on LTIR. It's a tank year, regardless.
  6. It's an illusion. They were 9-16-3 under Granato... thats uhh, not good.
  7. Sure it's commendable they have a type of player, type of game they want to play. Truth is, it's the same across the entire league. It's the same style Housley wanted, and frankly I don't expect the results to be any different this time around. Severely lacking talent, rookie head coach (again), zero goaltending. You have to be delusional to think this time will be different. The problems with this franchise are at the top... it all trickles down from there. They can draft well, but it won't matter when TP pulls to plug on KA and DG in 2 years and hits the reset button again.
  8. Sounds more like Beniers than Power. 🤔
  9. Where is this fusion story coming from? Friedmann? We haven't heard KA or Jack's agents say they only approved fusion surgery.
  10. They agreed to give it time to heal on it's own with conservative treatment. They also agreed that if it wasn't healed by a certain date, they would OK the surgery. That said, the agent's letter mentions that Buffalo is no longer approving surgery even after the agreed upon rehab window has expired. This tells me that either it is slowly healing and they want to give it more time (most likely IMO), or they are close to a trade and don't want to be liable for the surgery.
  11. I believe he shows up to camp with a prepared statement. Something along the lines of... "...as of today I am a Buffalo Sabre and will do my best to help the team in any way I can... unfortunately my injury will prevent me from playing the game I love.... Kevin Adams, ***** you very much."
  12. Just a bit, since the team had a positive ES goal differential. 13. Yep, and there's a summer pro league at Foxboro Sports Center where they play too. Not sure if Eichel's playing there tho.

  15. A missing piece in all of this is the status of the healing process. Is it any better? What do the scans look like now? If it's slowly healing then waiting another 3-4 months isn't a big deal. Maybe that's why team doctors changed their mind and recommend giving it more time.
  16. Fedun, Vesey, Rodrigues, Willman, Blackwell and Eichel... 🤔
  17. And there it is. Fish tightening the screws to help Drury get his prize.
  18. Who else does Fish represent and will that hamper Buffalo's ability to attract free agents?
  19. Nah. Woulda happened already. He's not gonna cave at this point.
  20. This may be the first step by Eichel's camp to file a grievance with the league which could end up in the hands of an arbitrator.
