As an 18 year old you need to declare yourself eligible for the draft, all 19 year olds are automatically eligible. In Vesey's case he went undrafted in 2011 as an 18 year old, I don't know if he declared himself eligible that draft year, I'm assuming he did. He was automatically eligible in 2012 because he's turned 19 by Sept 15th 2012. So maybe he's f'ing with the NHL out of spite for going undrafted in 2011.... wouldn't put it past him.

I used to think this, but the more I think about it, the more I like the current system. I mean, we have that rule to thank for this thread, so I say keep it the same :) That, and there's not very many Schultz/Vesey douchebags who think they're better than the NHL, so this doesn't happen too often as it is.

Tells you what's important to him, what his values are. His dream isn't to play in the NHL or win Cups, it's to get coddled by some franchise willing to bow down to his every demand.

Also crazy to think that if BUF beat ARI on 3/26/15, Eichel is a Coyote.

"Ask not what you can do for your team. Ask what your team can do for you." - Jimmy Vesey

Is anybody really surprised by this? I'm expecting his agent to say he's signing with team X, then at the last minute precious Jimmy boy changes his mind and goes with team Y. Imagine what he'll do if that team tries to send him down to the AHL? He might quit hockey.

Just got back, looks like I missed nothing.

Well, I finished high school and didn't chase the money overseas. Education is important to me, and it's been a dream of mine to play in Hockey East. Auston has dreams too, only his contain only dollar signs.

Ha! If I was Jimmy, I'd be getting ready for my sophomore season with the Preds.

I'm going camping tomorrow for 2 days. I told Jimmy to sit tight until I get back. He said he'd wait until Friday, but he does have a history of lying so I took it with a grain of salt.

lets post Vesey pictures until we hit a new page! EDIT: well OK then

And why do you think they hired Bylsma, who coached Jimmy's Dad? ...and drafted Jake McCabe who captained Vesey's world junior team? It's all starting to make sense. In a few days we'll find out if the long con bears any fruit. It's too bad we're talking about overripe maggot infested fruit.

..and a first last year.

Great I get back from camping on Thursday. If he chooses BUF, he will be Jack's cross to bear.
-
so is he a UFA on the 15th, or 16th?
-
Probably asking them for more guarantees of playing time, locker room stall location, number, access to free flights for family members, etc...

There's still a half dozen or so high profile RFAs yet to sign... Gaudreau Monahan Trouba Kucherov Nichushkin Nesterov Lindholm .. somethings got to give, I expect a flurry of signings in early September. The World Cup starts Sept 8th, and most of the RFAs I listed above ar scheduled to play, but that won't happen if they're not signed.

pinned.. until he retires.

foxboro and harvard ain't the NHL, not even close. i'll say one thing, it looks like he's trying much harder than other guys in the summer league. not sure if that's a good or bad thing.... good that his effort level is satisfactory, but bad because maybe at 23 what you see is his ceiling.... which is a very good college level player.

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/bruins/2016/08/nhl_hot_for_jimmy_vesey_and_harvard_star_is_narrowing_list_for_monday “What Jimmy wants to do is see it through,” said Fish. “He’s wanted to go to free agency and he’s going to see it through. There’s about 4-5 teams other than Buffalo that he wants to hear from. And then after that he’s going to make a decision. I think he’d love for the Bruins to be one of those teams. I assume that we will be taking a call from them." “We’ve looked at depth charts with some teams and talked about them. . . . “There’s obviously a lot of thought that goes into it: The city, the coach, the GM, the salary structure, how a team treats their players in the second and third contracts down the road. That said, Jimmy is acting like a little bitch and I can't wait for him to stop taking up all my damn time, you know, he's not the only client I have, but he doesn't seem to get that. He needs to be coddled 24 hours a day by me and my agency, good luck to whichever franchise Jimmy chooses to make miserable for the next half dozen years."
