Interesting, he says he hasn't started hormone therapy yet, but it still doesn't say what his testosterone level is currently or if they test for naturally occuring elevated testosterone levels. Its easy to test for synthetic testosterone and that would be a PED. Naturally occuring testosterone is an issue and there's no clear cut definition of what level would disqualify you from competing as a female is professional sport.
-
The closest the article comes to talking about testosterone or hormones is here.... "Browne has decided to postpone a medical transition until he's done playing in the NWHL, and he's not changing his legal name right now for visa reasons. Browne says he is "not closing the door" to transitioning to the men's side of the sport one day depending on how his body changes." All that says is he's having an operation to give him fully male body parts. That's all. It doesn't say wether or not he has testes or what his hormone levels are.
-
The Olympics checks testosterone levels before allowing people to compete in female events. Are they bigots too? Does the NWHL check testosterone levels? If not, how do think you the last girl cut from the team feels about losing her job to a man?
-
They're not nickel and diming him. He wants way more than he's worth right now. They'll settle on a bridge deal in the next few days, GMTM is still hoping he comes to his senses and takes a 5-6 year deal at a reasonable price... 4.5-5.5 per.
-
The artcle doesn't say what parts he has. It's not always either or... there are intersex cases where both parts are present or some form of both parts. If he's identifying as a man, he probably has a high enough testosterone level such that he's somewhere in the middle of the male female spectrum. If he wants to be considered a man, then good for him, I really don't give a . But if hes competing in a female only sport, then there needs to be a line drawn somewhere between male and female.

I thought it was obvious that Ristos defensive struggles were holding Moulson back last season. If Risto can improve defensively with a 5 year deal, Moulson should thrive offensively.... or continue to struggle because its a game for faster players now and he's no a very good skater.
-
I did. He was always a man, who is probably XX or XXY (intersex), so he identified as a woman all these years, but now he's identifying as a man... which he is. Let me ask you this... without considering body parts, how would you differentiate between male and female.
-
he's a career -88 oh wait, that means nothing at all. he's great... too bad Murray didn't grab him, we could use him to improve our team goal differential.

Well, for Olympic competition they check testosterone levels. There has to be some scientific method to distinguish men from women other than whatever that person chooses to identify as. Equality you say? How fair is it for the other women in sport if they have to compete against a man just because he chooses to identify as a woman?
-
I don't get it. So she identifies as a man probably because of some man parts... You would think they would need to have XX chromosomes to qualify to play in a women's only sport regardless of body parts... right? My guess is he's an XX male.

...fixed.

So.... who does that leave? Fasching? Grant? Falk? Baptiste? C. OReilly? Catenacci? McCormick? Nylander? Fedun? Guhle? Nelson?

Have Grant and Fasching made Girgensons and Foligno expendable?

no, forget I said anything -
Assuming you have good 401k fund options, you should be max'ing it out, but if you can't afford to do that right away, most financial institutions offer an annual increase program such that your contribution amount increases each year by whatever % you decide... until you hit the max. This works well, especially if you assume you're getting a merit increase each year which will offset the additional contribution rate.

Sounds logical, but I still think Grant and Fasching, as well as they've played, have a one-way ticket to Rochester. These are just pre-season games against AHL players, don't read too much into their performance. That said, my source tells me Risto will likely sign a bridge deal over the weekend or early next week, which is expected... Bogo will be ready to play the opener, as will Kulikov. -

My source tells me he actually tweaked something the other day playing floor hockey on the basketball court while wearing dress shoes. -

Moulson with Cal O'Reilly? They must not like what they see of Moulson thus far. -

It's too bad the NHL is not ready to implement the new goalie equipment standards.... or are they? IMO, this will help bigger, heftier goalies like Lehner who will use the large size gear anyway (chest protector/pants) vs skinnier goalies like Miller, Bishop who will need to drop a few sizes. I was really looking forward to watching goalies make more athletic reactionary saves vs passive positional saves, but I suppose we'll have to wait a bit longer. That said, I like BUF's goalie situation, Lehner looks good so far, and I'm pleasantly surprised by Nilsson's performance. -
That was a terrible draft in general for all teams... Rasmussen (picked 7th overall) ended up playing over 500 games in the NHL, which is more games than the 2nd, 4th and 5th picks that year.

4k will be even better.

dress shoes on a basketball court, what could possibly go wrong?

Finally get to watch a game!
