  1. I think Fasching gets traded at some point, he doesn't really fit into the direction JBOTs wants this team to go. He's a nice prospect, but I think he gets buried in Roch until they can work out a deal.
  2. He may not have been the right coach for this team, but to blame him for Bogosian's (and others) shortcomings as a player is being quite presumptuous IMO. I will gladly eat crow if guys like Bogo and Girgensons suddenly resurrect their careers under Housley, but I find that highly unlikely.
  3. They need to make some adjustments.... don't like the zoom out when the puck enters the neutral zone, and the zoom in is too slow for a fast moving sport like hockey. Basketball and football are probably fine, but it needs to be tuned for hockey IMO.
  4. Based on skill set, he should not make this team. But he makes $4mil and has is the most experienced defender, so he stays on as a bottom pairing guy and likely sees more time as injuries dictate.
  5. It's funny to see everyone blame Bylsma for poor individual play, but anybody who had success (Eichel/Kane) was because of their own doing. Bogo is what he is. He was the same WPG as he was the last 2 seasons in BUF. A liability in his own end, a fast skater who lacks quickness to escape with the puck, and legally brain dead. Dr. Phil can't just waive a magic wand and turn him into an All-Star. I don't think he's a good fit off the ice either, I'll be surprised if he's still around come the trade deadline.

  7. There are no players on the current roster, or anywhere in the Sabre's system, who were drafted more than 5 years ago by Buffalo. They're essentially an expansion team heading into year #5 of existence.
  8. No live stream, only audio on WGR...
  9. Interesting. I like it.
  10. sacrilege!
  11. He seems to lay an egg in game 1 every once in a while, then has an MVP type season. I expect no different this year.
  12. 40 goal season playing Jack's wing... in 2020-21.
  13. it's from golfing too much, and i'm addicted to it, so i'm trying to dial back, but life is too short haha i'll try stretching and whatnot, it's not completely debilitating, really only notice it on my back swing when golfing, but it's been almost a month now and only slight improvement.
  14. J. Winston seemed to have fixed it. He had the same issue Darnold has... long loopy motion due to a heavy baseball background. https://www.fanragsports.com/nfl/improved-mechanics-allowing-jameis-winston-reach-next-level/
  15. If he can fix it tho? http://www.ocregister.com/2017/07/02/usc-qb-sam-darnold-retooling-throwing-motion/
  16. tennis elbow won't go away
  17. Goooood article on Darnold... https://www.thebuffalostar.com/2017/09/bills-2018-qb-watch-part-i-sam-darnold/
  18. Princeton grad.... I've met him a few times out here both on and off the ice. He's a very intelligent articulate guy... not your typical meathead goon.
  19. Just get rid of the challenge aspect and automatically review all goals (for offsides, high stick, etc) upstairs. Should be quick and easy with today's tech.
  20. The typical strategy I've used over the years is to pick the favored home team with the largest point spread. This week it's the Bills. That said, I picked the Steelers.
  21. Is anybody gonna go give Will Butcher a warm Buffalo welcome tomorrow night?
  22. No, like rakish said, 1p ET Sunday is the deadline. If you want to pick the Thur game, you need to submit the pick before kickoff.
  23. The Hockey News in general has been lacking the past few years (I'm a long time subscriber), but this article is spot on.
