That's fine if they wanted to trade AJ, but they needed to sign a veteran immediately after that happened. They failed.

I don't think anybody hates him, or doubts his ability. However his inability to stay healthy has reached comical status. All we heard all summer was that this was it. After hip surgery he was finally 100% good to go, never felt better, blah blah blah. Enough talk, it's time to do what you're being paid for. Either play or hang it up already.

I'll say he doesn't make it through warm-ups.

The release on his OT goal yesterday was special. You don't see that too often. Got it off so quick the goalie didn't even move, the defenseman couldn't event get his stick on the puck... before anybody knew it, bang, post and in. There's plenty of guys that can shoot hard and accurate but they need time and space which Olofsson needs very little of.

Housley put Larsson in against COL after he sat out the win vs Vegas. Let's see if he's smart enough to avoid making that same mistake after the win against ARI.

The spend a large percentage of each game in their own zone. Can't get scoring chances if the puck is in your zone. Sometimes the best offense is a good defense. Adding better offensively skilled players isn't going to help. The coaching staff needs to teach these guys how to win pucks back in their own zone and execute a controlled breakout under pressure instead of the just flipping it out and giving possession to the other team.

For me, it's all the little things he does, the details.. that make it look like he's been playing for 15+ years. So many little plays in tight areas, stick position, puck management... that are just perfectly executed. Probably more noticeable because every other defenseman on the roster struggles in those areas.

Same could be said for quite a few guys on the big club, but yeah I wouldn't rush him up... he's having success and building confidence, bring him up later in the year for a look.

Good start for the young swede. Let's see if he can keep it going into Dec, Jan, Feb... No need to rush him up to the big club.

So any time a guy gets a concussion somebody has to get suspended? What was wrong with the hit? It looked like he was concussed when his head hit the boards, probably didn't need to throw him down to the ice like that, but this is big boy hockey and reason young guys need to add size and strength to avoid injury.

A few thoughts... Very impressed with Dahlin in person. What a player! He looks like a savvy vet, and some of the little plays he makes are unreal at his age, he is special. Skinner was the best skater on the ice. He creates so much just by opening up and pivoting around guys. Eichel looks fully committed, he was doing whatever it took to win the game. ARI fans were impressed with Ullmark, he was stellar. Does Phol ride the hot hand and give him he the start in Vegas? Prolly not, cuz Phil gonna Phil. In general they gave ARI way too much time and space in the their own zone. I don't understand why they play so passive in their own end... They need to attack the puck and close gaps... Just gave ARI way to much and it showed.
