  1. Lets' hope a GM in Anaheim does not so the Sabres can swoop in and get a guy like Rakell.
  2. Rakell is very underrated and Risto IMO overrated. Id make that deal in a second Agree completely. Sabres need players that can help win now.
  3. Risto for Rakell? I live close to Anaheim, I can drive Rakell to John Wayne Airport to head to Buffalo if needed
  4. What would it take? An act of whatever God you worship.
  5. You are right, I meant to type that but that just didn't happen haha
  6. So what we hope is SJ makes the playoffs, Buffalo gets the 1st round pick in 2020: San Jose tanks and we get a high 1st
  7. John Tavares should go to Florida, Nevada, Texas, or Tennessee, if he was smart (tax breaks for a so called fair cap gives these franchises an 8-10% edge overall) John can sign there for 8M and make about the same if he was paid, for example, 9.5 per in NY or Buffalo. Plus the team he goes to have more $ to spend for other players. Still convinced this is a pretty good reason why a player like Stamkos stayed in Tampa. Meaning if Toronto had same tax benefits as Florida, Stamkos is a Leaf IMHO.
  8. It speaks to how awesome the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry really is
  9. As a Yankees fan I love this post :P Red Sox are stacked with some awesome young talent as well. Yankees are just on one of these special runs. But as Yankees fans would say if we were losing these games, it is STILL only May. The thing that I take a way from this 17-1 stretch for the Yankees, is that it is ever so clear how well stacked, and built, this Yankees team is for 2018 and many years ahead. And the same goes for Boston. Amazing how both franchises have done so well grooming some young players. Now we have new names and faces to the rivalry for years to come. Teams with big $ like Boston and NY are so dangerous when they build from within well and then can dip into the FA market. Toronto, Baltimore and Tampa Bay are probably watching this and saying why bother. Will be fun to watch as Yankees and Red Sox fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYyv8bOHUKg
  10. Good stuff, I didn't have numbers in front of me that but that is very encouraging!
  11. One question about Sam: Did his production spike up because Eichel was out and Sam's role expanded? Will Sam's role be reduced this year. I still envision Sam as a 25-30 goal, 55-65 point player and clear Top 6 guy. I would keep Sam.
  12. Ill cheer you up Eleven: At least it won't be Toronto or the Ruins. The post was great though, especially the Vegas rant. And agree, Winnipeg fans are so smug and cocky on twitter, hard to root for them.
  13. If Ottawa is looking to blow up their roster: Mike Hoffman is a player I wouldn't mind seeing Buffalo go after instead and would cost considerably less then Karlsson.
  14. This is amazing, dead on. We should tweet this to Mike and see what happens to us
  15. Winnipeg will toast Vegas in 5. Hopefully
  16. Dave Andreychuk. The real 1st player I truly followed as a kid. Had the pleasure of meeting him in 1996 when I interned with the Devils. I was star struck and he is a classy guy all the way.
  17. Nobody knows if Kim is truly qualified or the best fit: Just like if Terry brought in another woman or man from the outside. Just have to wait and see. I wish Kim Pegula all the best, she seems like a good person who has the best intentions.
  18. I will never forget where I was the moment I heard this glorious news of that scumbag's departure
  19. I also think and call me crazy, another factor was the terrible Vegas shooting tragedy at Mandalay Bay that took place right before the season set the tone for this team: It brought the city closer, and the Vegas Golden Nights became an outlet to bring people together: I truly think that motivated the team initially and got things off on the right foot. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-golden-knights-sportsbook-2018-story.html
  20. We all know it is coming but I don't want to think about the Sabres and Jeanneret not calling any games, the time is closer then ever, but I agree I think Rick will find a way to be a part of this even on a limited schedule. We just all need to enjoy every chance we get to hear the legend call games.
  21. Completely agree and I must admit I need a healthy helping of crow. I have been extremely critical of the lottery and always suggesting it is rigged. Based on our results it was easy to come to that conclusion. But if this was rigged there is no chance Montreal finishes 3 and the Sabres 1 so I am fully happy to admit I was wrong. It really cannot be understated how big this was for the Sabres. This changes the game completely.
  22. The Red Wings, Rangers, Montreal or Chicago will get Dahlin so I see that as a moot point
  23. This day in age with the over-saturation of coverage for the NFL Draft, a lot of people are picking out more and more flaws of the QB's then ever before. Having said this, considering the Buffalo Bills have never, and i mean ever, drafted a QB in the Top 10 of an NFL Draft, this speaks volumes as to why our record is so poor historically. Even if the Bills miss on the QB pick, you HAVE to try. Top 5 QB's overall compared to Non Top 5 QB's historically are much more successful, even if the ratio is 50/50 for the Top 5, compared to 30, 20 percent and lower on down as the draft progresses.
  24. Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe I believe
