  1. I do understand That Aud Smell's point about the top picks and it has validity. Sure it could be viewed as a 'coin toss'. But if the Bills continue to wait until after the 1st round to find a franchise QB, it will be like fipping a coin looking for heads and the coin has 5 sides to it. Sure it might be 50/50 at the top of the 1st round to hit on a QB, but what is the percentage to hit in the 2nd round? 20% maybe? 3rd round? 10%? You HAVE to go for a QB if you are Beane. And in the 1st, preferably early 1st.
  2. 5-2 Winnipeg. And it won't even be that close.
  3. Maybe Buffalo should fold and come back as an expansion team, and incorporate in a state with the tax benefits that Nevada WILL enjoy over New York for years to come. Hard caps aren't fair. Adjust the cap to compensate for the taxes.
  4. Try to get as high of a pick as possible. Trade Evander and get some help in goal or defense Fire Phi, hire an experienced coach
  5. You can’t lay out your starting goalie like that. Something about Housley screams Rick Tocchet and Barry Melrose in Tampa bad. Or even Gretz bad. Maybe he is in over his head.
  6. I agree I mean I know I say its rigged and I HOPE it isn't rigged but it sure does FEEL rigged. To my knowledge, the Sabres have never benefited from the lottery ever, they have only gone down or stayed the same. Could be wrong unless Im missing something
  7. Ill never root for a tank again: Uncle Gary WILL ensure the Sabres get the worst possible option. Win win and win
  8. Let's just be honest: Fans only like when athletes use politics for the lies, er I mean, agendas that they the fan believes in themselves. Otherwise, they don't want it.
  9. Just throwing it out there to see if I get the team right more then anything: Evander Kane to Las Vegas for D Erik Brannstrom, W David Perron and a 1st round pick in 2018
  10. I take it the other way: You want to whine about calls Robin? Don't hold onto 1 goal leads and lose games late and the in OT. The entire team needs to be better TOP to BOTTOM. Play better and you won't have these issues. PERIOD. Enough of these excuses.
  11. I think its just too early to speculate on whom the Bills draft: If the Bills have a chance to sign say Cousins, then QB issue solved and then use these picks to fix the defense. To me that may be the best scenario
  12. The Sabres can't afford to look past an AHL team at this point
  13. Sabres 5 Islanders 4 OT: Evander with 1G 2A, Jack with 2 goals
  14. Sabres win 3-2 tonight. Sam with 2 points and a GWG
  15. What is with all this negativity? The 2017 Buffalo Bills were projected to be a terrible team: The Bills are 8-6 and we are entering into Christmas week with a legitimate shot to end the 17 year drought: Albeit in a year with a new regime, with trades to get more picks for the 2018 NFL Draft. The Bills for me have exceeded all expectations this year. Just enjoy it for once. Yes the 17 year drought is frustrating I get it completely. But this team has shown some guts and moxie. Stop with the 'Billsey' garbage. It's a new time.
  16. I wouldnt be upset whatsoever if Jack is similar to John Tavares
  17. Sabres should fold, incorporate in a tax friendly state (Like Florida, Nevada, Texas and Tennessee), come back as the Buffalo Sabres, and get all the advantages Vegas got.
  18. Risto to me is a guy I would absolutely deal for the right price. A very good defenseman yes, but to me he isn't a cant miss cornerstone #1 defenseman. More like an elite #2 or low end #1 at best. As for Eichel: Stop trying to make him what he isn't: He is a shooter, a elite scorer, let him go out there and do what he does BEST.
  19. It's very possible, I think all us Sabres fans made a mistake and crowned Jack as an elite generational player before he ever truly showed he can be
  20. Wonder if Jack is: 1. Hiding an injury 2. Feeling the pressure of signing that 80 million dollar deal 3. Maybe Jack just isn't what we think he is
  21. Vegas has a lot of built in advantages over teams like Buffalo and Seattle: Like the unfair hard cap that rewards teams in Nevada, Tennessee, Texas and Florida for tax reasons and allows these franchises to spend 8-10% less overall for salaries, players net the same as they would in a high tax state like NY. It's unfair and considering this is happening over Bettman's reign: I am not surprised.
