Lol actually I am holding out hope he ends up being the best player in the deal literally for no other reason than I loved his Dad... unreasonable expectation for sure but one can hope he plays a similar game... and that... to your point would clearly help this team... but moreover his dad was a leader and we could use a leader with more alpha game upfront. I am hoping in two years time we look back at this trade and laugh like how could we have shed so much angst .... but we haven't done much of that lately so its a hope ...

I agree here... I think we need to start getting the best player in the trade... but maybe Kesslring was the best player for what we needed... roster construction etc... that's my hope

Couple of honorable mentions... I personally hated trading away Zadorov... we could use his nasty Not signing Ullmark I also think was a major screw up Clearly the biggest after the Eichel mismanagement was not hiring a tenured experienced GM after Murray and Botterill both failed... instead we got a guy whose claim to fame was re doing the bathrooms in KBA... which is impossible to believe until you realized they hired a Soccer executive from England to coach the team... and of course listening to Phyliss Housely preach to the team about "getting to the tough places" was interesting as well...

I am not sure about worst... I think we are closer to the over all worst defensive play to include defenseman and forwards playing two way... I clearly an no where near enamoured with our goaltending... but, I am interested to see if it overall looks better if we have more of a two way team...

I worry about this too... but in the end... we are going to have to see if we play better defensively without him... however the Norris concept... I think we got raked if this guy cant stay healthy...

I have always been in the anyone is available for trade, including Phil Esposito, Pierre Turgeon, Pat LaFontaine etc... so I am fine trading literally anyone on this team... I have two requirements however LOL 1. Its not Adams making those trades 2. We get the best player in the trade Since 1. is not possible at this point, and 2 based on our history and reputation is about as impossible as me dunking a basket ball... I am going to agree with you...

Bottom line to me we have seen this show in some variation 14 times... we made some precursory changes by trying to get a bit better defensively and grit wise by removing offense and one of our better young offensive players... still need a G, and a C... the more it changes the more it stays the same most people will view this until it actually does change. Maybe it will maybe it won't but I can't blame the same ol same old folks... I am probably one of them hoping against hope a new mix of player finally gets it to click... but deep down i know that isn't a likely forgone conclusion...

I think the league is seeing what TP obviously is insulated from the abject visceral disdain the fan base has for him and his FO and the abject nonpluss they have for us. People are voting with their feet currently and it will get worse as the situation continues to the point our area will look like the Cleveland Barron's arena in the 70s... this clearly is bad for league revenue. The question is what will they do about it. They could try and force a move... they could put pressure for a new FO... put some kind of a control board in place 😆 lol but I think anything they do will be about organization and not league wide competition aka nmc's

and you hope that somebody (players) will hold the others accountable for playing that way... especially if Lindy actually has options to go too that say I want you to play this way you arent so these guys are getting the ice time... hard to do when you literally have no one to point to and put out there... if there is improvement it will be because the mix of players is more conducive to two way grittier hockey and better defense.
