  1. Oh wait.... lol 😆
  2. I know some people have a high opinion on Karamonos... I dont know enough about him to say one way or the other... I do know this... 1. Kevyn Adams has proven himself incapable and we cannot reasonably believe that if he continues in the organization that he will walk on water and right the ship. 2. Terry and his disorganization from the FO to the players have devastated this brand to the point it repels most players that we would look to make a quick and meaningful change. So, the guy in charge is terrible and not capable... to make matters worse he and Pegula have devalued the brand so badly that they have cut off access to some of the best players available via trade or FA... So that means rebuilding through the draft or changing the brand image so players do not consistently put us in a no trade clause or will reasonably consider us in FA. To do that I think you need to get a hot GM and Assistants with a track record for turning the ship around and winning... to at least begin to address scenario 2. Then maybe you can find some folks that are a hard no currently to change their tune a bit because you have injected theoretical competence and hope... IF you go with Karamonos... and maybe he is the Mecca of GMs... I am not sure that his history of turning around franchises and winning championships etc.. satisfies point 2... or at least to the level that a proven GM with success does. So with him you must accept the likelihood that you are rebuilding through the draft at the onset... and the road to brand fixing is gonna be a bit longer... not saying this is the wrong way... but this is how I see it...
  3. I think I am just gonna simplify it almost like you said it... We need to draft some skilled Aholes with decent size... You had me at destroy LOL
  4. Dude again i just want some skill combined with the nasty... if he is the guy then ok get him. You didn't steer me wrong on Helenius so go get him... But enough of drafting smallish skilled players or size just for size (Power, Muel etc...) we need an attitude adjustment on this team . And if he is your guy and you know it and you have to move up with a player or pick to do it... then do it ... and i have little faith he will do it unfortunately Nice profile on him BTW thanks for that
  5. and I trust you on the dude that hits like a truck I havent seen him play... I have Martone and he looks tough but if Martin is that guy awesome... I just want someone that thinks like Benson and has the size to make people notice... with the trade... I really dont think there is a chance in hell Adams does that... as far as Martone I see him mocked 3 -9 I dont want to trade a huge package to move into that space... but if he drops to a 6 or 7 and that is the guy we want go get him... just please prioritize and acknowledge that a combination of skill size and nasty is a needed component in this team.
  6. The point is I want someone that people note on their calendar they are playing against... that is skilled and physical edgy , nastly... (Benson some times you have to cross check someone in the head with the size to do it) , I liked Martone. If you think I am an idiot for thinking that... ok... I guess that is your right... but if we believe we know how they turn out at 18 years old I would say good luck... That said I am fine with your scenario if you think it works out better... I dont care.. if Martin is the guy that turns out like Tkachuk and we get him awesome... The size is not coachable but yes isnt always necessary. We both can cite a littany of players under 6 3 that I would love and a ton over 6 3 that are easy to play against... most of them are on our roster or have been on our roster at some point. Bottom line just get me a guy with skill that brings the intensity with some size to back it up... and then go get me 3 more. With respect to the trade up, I am not sure where you are going with that unless you are saying there is some kind of unwritten rule that says if you are 10 or below never trade back... but if you are 11 its ok like we did with San Jose last year... I guess so... but I dont believe that if we have identified a play we want in a weaker draft it is an impossibility to move from 9 to 7 and get the guy we want... if you think it is... great... Bottom line is it isnt happening anyways ... I dont see Adams doing that... The 5 10 170 analogy is exactly as you saw it... skill players that dont have the physicality... so like you said... size isnt the only measurement ... So like this Martin kid... 6 feet maybe can play at 205 lbs full grow hits like a truck... not in that analogy... Rosen Savoie Peterka Quinn Kulich actually despite huge size and to your point Power... those are the guys I am referring too.... Benson even smaller... not in the category.... Now.. I did give you credit on the Helenius pick from last year... because I saw the European and the size and didnt like it... but he does seem to have an edge... Tzkchuk... no... but certainly you hopefully add him in the team tough. Again, bottom line and simple... just watching the nastiness of these playoffs this team is ill prepared for that type of hockey... and if they are going anywhere it needs to change... get me players with nasty in them that will allow the Peterkas, quinns, rosens, Kulich etc... to use their skill Benson for that matter too...
  7. I remember Rick Martin's bad concussion... half the team came back with helmets the next game include Perrault... I think Robert shunned them until he retired... the last guy on the sabres I remember without a helmet I think was Phil Russell

  9. They are 18... I am not sold on anyone this draft... I dont think anyone is cant miss... I know you cannot teach what Martone has... I want more of that... Maybe Martin and Bear have this as well and will be better players more physical... honestly.... never saw them... if they are bigger and more physical than Martone.. ok... get them.... To me the bottom line is I would like us to focus on players that can bring skill and physicality to the game... and not just willing physicality but, mark off on your calendar when you are playing this person physicality.. we currently have none... To me its Martone... and not that it means anything... but the seems like the majority of mocks agree... but again... 18... Not sure why trading up in all rounds of is limited to the NFL... happens all the time... just looked randomly draft tracker and lots of draft pick only switching was done including actually the Sharks moved 3 spots to get our 11 last year and we got their 14 and 42. Is it likely to happen... not really... in fact I am pretty much resigned to anything I think makes sense Adams gonna do the opposite... We will likely end up with a 5 10 170 skill player that we just had to get cause we dont have enough of those...
  10. he will own nothing he is too busy making excuses and transferring rationalized blame.
  11. Trade a 2 to move up a couple of spots and get Martone... you cant teach his size or attitude...

  14. Exactly, put lipstick on the pig...rinse , wash, repeat.
  15. So no stats... just observation... I think faceoffs can be over rated at times... i also think if you are a team that struggles with puck possession and play the man poorly that losing face offs more often than you win requires you to play in a place that you are not good more often... where a team that being strong on the puck and corner play is their strength I dont see it being as big of an issue.
  16. LOL now thats where stats come in... I do remember Ruff on multiple occasions lamenting our poor faceoffs... maybe it improved at the end of the season... I dont know... but it seemed we lost critical ones.. a lot...
  17. Stats are great... but honestly, the chances this D gives up especially at critical times they are bad... to make it better our goaltending sucks too... They are honestly both bad...In addition, they do not play complimentary hockey with the forwards, the are terrible on faceoffs... horrible in the clutch, dont control the puck down low... So much wrong with this team.... I do not think you can exclusively blame the defense... but they are certainly part of the problem. Stats are a great prelim... they eyes are as well.
  18. This falls in the catagory of "you cant make this sh(t up"... then again everything they do does... and I am sure he didnt have a conversation with him... I can here the conversation now... TP: Well Kevyn, what do you think about Holland... KA : (sheepishly) well Terry great guy had some success.. why TP: Well I was thinking we might hire him to be your assistant Lackey.... KA: well... uhm... we could do that... there are other options I was thinkng of though TP : well of course why dont we call him anyways to see if he is interested LA: Sure Tero! I have an idea, lets have Stahl give him a call give him something to do! TP: Brilliant KA: Ok Terry I let him know... wanna take a break and go eat Crayons!!! I have been saving the purple ones for you!! TP" Yeah!!!!!!

  22. Literally he is the only thing about this team that I enjoy.
  23. I think it is very true... that the playoff experience is helpful... hopefully some decade whomever is on our team may get some... and for those players it can develop who will take that experience away it will most certainly help... But I do think if the team isnt constructed the right way that experience would lead to not much... I go to the Sabres teams from the mid 80s early 90s that were perenial 1st round exits.. no amount of experience could make those players playoff hockey players.. more often then not the series were not even close... some were... but most they were dominated especially in the clutch... but again to your point... that experience for those that can be playoff players is clutch...
