  1. Kevin Adams pay attention. McDermott correctly fired the offensive coordinator and this led to significant improvement in the Bills. Figure out where changes need to be made on the coaching side and please enact them.
  2. I do care, but feel trapped by Pegula. There is clearly talent on this team, though some key pieces are missing. However, both the GM and Coach are way in over their heads, and don't see us getting out of this with the current regime. What's weird is that Pegula has had some success with the Bills, so it should occur to him that you need to get the right people in place. The players play without a scheme, have no accountability and no leadership. And, the coaching staff appears incapable of coaching. What will it take for Pegula to make a change?
  3. Only if she dates and is rejected by an official.
  4. Perhaps when Quinn and Tuch return it will also improve.
  5. The players look stuck in cement during the power play. No movement, creativity. This is on the coaching. If Granato doesn't want to fire Ellis, at least bring in someone you can be a special power play advisor.
  6. I share your sentiments. Will glance at the score, but will not watch the games until I see something worth watching. Still hopeful about the Bills and am happy the Yankees got Juan Soto -- maybe they will have a decent year. I fear we are in hockey purgatory, without a white knight (although we have Don Granato and his crew of headless horsemen)
  7. What a horror, I am a Bills and Sabres fan. Being a Yankee fan used to give me respite, but alas no more. The Yankees have joined their ranks with a clueless GM and a cheap owner.
  8. The one thing players want is playing time. I would sit those who are making dumb mistakes or showing maximum effort. While it may contribute to some immediate losses, many benefit the team in the long run.
  9. This feels so surprising since Terry supposedly loves hockey and gave money to Penn State for their hockey program. For someone who has been so successful in life, hard to imagine he wants to just settle for mediocrity.
  10. I don't know anything about Appert, but is he considered to be a good coach? I want Ellis gone tomorrow!!
  11. They need to fire Granato immediately and find an interim replacement. The season is lost anyway so try to find someone who at the least has a plan. And enough of only wanting players who want to be here. Players want to win and make a fair salary. Culture I'm sure is way down on their list. That way of thinking is just stupid and has to change. And, in order to get players of value you need to give up valued prospects -- see Baseball as a model example of this. If Adams can't do this he needs to go too. The clock is ticking on the entire franchise.
  12. What's maddening about this coaching staff is their inability to adjust or correct mistakes. Fix the face-off and power play problem Work with the team to emphasize clearing the puck out of the zone. Keep taking shots and put men in front of the goalie Sit players who are not helping the team.
  13. I agree, he hasn't looked very good at all. Time in Rochester will help him.
  14. I think a coaching change is very important, as the players seem too soft and complacent. A GM change may be needed if Adams can't be persuaded to trade some of his prized prospects for vets who can really help a young team.
  15. Not sure about Levi. He looks like he is always an injury waiting to happen. All those contortions can't be great on a body and I think he tries to overcompensate for his lack of height.
  16. Hopefully this will improve since he is one of the few players who actually plays with a chip on his shoulder.
  17. I would let me get some additional work in and not rush him back. Better to focus on clearing pucks out of your own end and winning face offs -- how hard can this be?
  18. Watched first season of Tulsa King and enjoyed it. Also watched Master Gardener (Paul Schrader) on Hulu and though quite dark, enjoyed it. By the way, if you haven't yet watched Season 1 of Silo on Apple TV, please make sure you don't miss it.
  19. St Louis was constantly around the net and we weren't. And they were not sloppy when they were there. Its still maddening that we can't clear shots in our zone, even by defensemen. We look like the better team, but they were the gritty, better coached team.
  20. There doesn't seem to be any accountability on the players. McDermott may be a dick, but he will sit players who are underperforming or making mistakes (i.e. Cook). Don't see Granato doing this. They also really need to get some more veterans in here who can budge some of these players out of their stupor.
  21. Its coaching. Get rid of these amateurs and bring in a real staff.
  22. Well said. Enough babying the players and not trying to hurt any feelings. The fact that they want to be here is not good enough -- they have to act like they want to be here. And bring in some real assistant coaches.
  23. Holding on to him this long has probably cost us 2 games in the standings. Finally an intelligent decision.
  24. I live on Long Island and watched the MSG feed. All their analysts chalked it up to a bad night for the Rangers. Maybe, but the way the Sabres were playing, they could have beaten the vast majority of teams.
  25. Yes, youth is a factor, but look at the Baltimore Orioles. It took 2 seasons for them to gel (one of the youngest teams in the league), but in the third season, they were one of the best. Not sure I am seeing this on the Sabres.
