My statement may have been somewhat unfair, but something is VERY WRONG with the Amerks. Highly touted prospects Armia, Grigs, Larsson, Pysyk, McCabe, two good young goalies in Lieuwen & Makarov, and solid AHL vets Petrecki, Bagnall, Ellis, Adam, etc... should not equal the worst team in the AHL over the last several weeks. I want to see the young players in a winning environment, not one that is competing with their parent club for who sucks more on any given night.

Actually it will be bad for weeks prior if the Sabres end up on a path where it looks like they will finish 3rd from the bottom or higher. If it plays out that way, I will be inconsolable. :lol:

FYI... The Amerks are an AHL worst 2-7-1 in their last 10 games. What happened to "we have the best prospect pool in all of hockey"? :(

Sorry but two years of tanking has me brainwashed into believing that anything but McEichel is going to be a huge letdown. In fact another win tonight, and I may go into hiding. :lol:

1st and 2nd round or sweet 16? I think Buffalo has shown enough support in the past to warrant being named a sweet 16 site....at least once.

I've stated this recently also. There is no way the Sabres are going to build a winner just by waiting for the prospects(or even half of them) to become NHL ready. There is no better example of this than Edmonton. All this talk of a blueline of Myers, Risto, Zads, McCabe, Pysyk, Ruhwedel and <fill in the blank> will ensure seasons of losing unless the fill in the blank is a Norris Trophy winner still in his prime. This is where all Sabres fans better get out there rosaries and hope that TM knows how to build a winner from this collection of picks/prospects.

At some point in the coming years, some of the NHL ready prospects are going to have to be traded for NHL experienced players. If not, take a good look at Edmonton for the last several years, and how they continue to tread water.

I posted my thoughts over on TSW, but I'll share the same thing here... 4 mind boggling events... 1 - Bryce Brown fumble on a play where if tackled would have been 1st and goal inside the 5. 2 - Chandlers inability to easily grab Brown's fumble in the endzone. 3 - McKelvin fumble leading to game winning score for KC. 4 - Four incomplete passes to the endzone from 1st and 10 at the 15 with the Bills in a great position to score. The OC has been stubborn and has been running the ball all year long, and with the game on the line in a situation where they were in 4 down territory...4 pass plays. That being said, 4 pretty bad throws by Orton in that situation.

From where I stand, there isn't a single player on this team that I would be upset about if they were not on the team next season, and that includes Girgensons. I hate this freakin' team, and pray that TM has the expertise to get this turned around beginning next season.

Avs down 4-0 to Philly. Patrick Roy's acting growing tired already? That team has major problems.

Minimal trade value. I would hold on to him and hope he can be a consistent 3rd line/4th line tweener. That being said, between his inconsistent play and his injury history, his future with the Sabres maybe in jeopardy.
