I left roughly a year and a half ago. Only signed in for the purpose of keeping up with thread related to SabreSpace Gold Fantasy Hockey League. I will chime in and say this, I do lurk from time to time, and nothing has really changed that would make me start participating in hockey talk again. Maybe someday.

I am making one last plea in Gold...can the owners of Paul's Pleasant Team and Qwksndmonster please spend at least 5 minutes each week to start active players and replace anyone on IR. I hate lame duck teams especially ones that are that way from the very beginning of the season. Thx.

Me too. I wonder if that is a setting that can be changed(for next year). Also...in gold, I believe there is a least one absentee owner

I have a suggestion for next year...increase pick time to 90 seconds. I don't know if I had "auto pick owners" on each side of me when drafting, but I couldn't keep up with the selections.

If you are talking about Gold, I'm out for Tuesday. I realize you are trying to accommodate everyone, but changing the draft day/time at the 24 hour mark makes it tough.

I was the one who brought up the goalie issue, but my suggestion was to have only 12 teams. With 14 teams there weren't enough goalies to go around. Not sure if at this late date you want to switch back to two goalies since there are now only 12 teams, or leave it at 1 goalie.

If you need an extra owner in Blue and the draft won't overlap with Gold, I'll give it a shot.

The proposed change to a keeper league in Gold is not happening, correct?

SS Gold... I am good with Sunday 10/9 or Monday 10/10.

The downside to keepers...since there is no financial incentive, and there is some turnover every year, a new owner may end inheriting crap when it comes to keepers. I would say no to keepers, but if you want to change things up a bit, what about an auction draft?

I still think the ratio of skater categories to goalie categories should be more like 11 to 4 instead of 9 to 4, when you compare the number of skaters on a roster to goalies. I don't think there is any downside to adding to more "skater" categories. Gives each team more flexibility. i.e. adding a defensive defenseman who may excel at hitting, blocked shots, PIM, plus/minus, but may not be much of a point producer. I realize you can't make incorporate everyones suggestions, but I would add back in some combination of two of the following... 1 - GWG 2 - Plus/Minus 3 - PIM

I am in for Gold. If you have two teams drop out, I would go with 12 versus adding two replacements. In a league where you are allowed to start two goalies, 14 teams are too many. Also, I would drop one of the goalie categories(I would drop saves or save percentage. No need for both) You have 11 scoring categories, and 5 goalie categories, where the lineup consists of 11 skaters and only 2 goalies.

I could not care less what the swords lyrics were written about at the time, why can't it be the song played along with a video on the jumbotron of soldiers going to battle with swords(real swords ;)) in hands. I want the Sabres to win as much as possible this year and part of that plan doesn't include an 18 year old blue liner with no NHL experience to his name. I'd go with Ruhwedel, Colo or McCabe knowing that Gorges and Bogo more than likely won't be there for opening night.... I can't remember from last year. When is draft order revealed? Also, what does "NA" roster position mean?

I was concerned about Bogo's injury history when the trade went down, and this doesn't make me feel any better, when the regular season hasn't even started and he is out "week to week". :( :(

Went to guest services both on the 100 & 300 levels to get a roster and was told "we don't have any". So for a preseason game where have the players aren't easily identifiable by number(due to the number of new players) you have no rosters. But for a regular season game you have stacks of rosters to hand out.

Considering how often coaches change lines in the regular season, do they ever have any meaning?

I tried to abide by this when I was a mod here. Warnings/Bans in regards to board abuses should take place in private.

Would it be asking a lot if the coaches had Eichel skip last nights game(which could not be seen either on TV or stream) and played tomorrow instead as a goodwill gesture to fans attending the game? Change the coaches, do the front office shuffle, and yet a simple PR move cannot be executed. I thought stuff like this would be right up the alley of PT Brandon aka marketing whiz.
