  1. To quote myself from a post a few days ago...Bettman is a SHITHEAD!
  2. I like Flynn's game and thought he made a decent 3rd/4th line tweener. Even if it was in the short term. That being said, if trading him away helped secure 30th, I'm okay with it,
  3. Thats fine. Then replace him with another vet with a similar game. I don't need Matt Ellis or Phil Varone on the 4th line or some 21 year rookie.
  4. So you want the Kaleta back who was on the verge of getting suspended every other hit? I'm not sure what you are looking for from a 10-12 minute a game 4th liner?
  5. At the risk of repeating myself, he is 28, not 38.
  6.  Maybe read up on your Sabres history. Specifically teams from the mid 70's.
  7. I have no problem keeping Kaleta around for another year or two at least. He is only 28, skates well, effective on the PK, can still hit(as long as he keeps it under control), will drop the gloves sticking up for any teammate, and bleeds blue and gold. Just needs to figure out how to stay healthy to the point of playing at least 60 games. You can't field a lineup of guys all under the age of 25. Not sure how Kaleta brings any less to the table than someone else coming up from the farm or via F/A.
  8. I will admit that while the new "in game host(ess)" is easy on the eyes, the stoppage in play contests usually consisting of little kids does nothing for the atmosphere. I'm not saying I want the drunken atmosphere of RWS, but if the Sabres atmosphere is a family oriented one, good luck changing the amount of "cheering" very much. Winning will help, Eichel will help, but I don't see us having an atmosphere like some of the louder NHL arenas any time soon.
  9. I'll be fine as soon as the draft begins and Edmonton takes McDavid. ;) My point about the defense was in response to flipping one of the blueline youngins' for a draft pick. We don't need more draft picks.
  10. I am not on the edge because we didn't win the lottery, I am on the edge because I am afraid Murray will trade key pieces of the core to end up with McDavid instead of Eichel.
  11. I disagree. I don't think Sabre fans are any more knowledgable than fans in other NHL arenas that are rocking. I think it is more a case of Chet & Muffy syndrome. I agree. I have no use for the whiteout or towel waving i.e. PIttsburgh Steelers
  12. The atmosphere at FNC will never be like Winnipeg, nor will it even get to the point of the early 70's when first awarded a franchise, but it will get back to where it was after the lockout. Just give it time.
  13. I'm not sure what young dmen(one or two) that you think the Sabres can afford to move. Pysyk is moving up to the Sabres next year and that leaves McCabe in Rochester. The only other blueliner in the pipeline is Brycen Martin, and he will be in juniors for at least one more year. Bogo Pysyk Weber Zadarov Risto Gorges #7...Ruhwedel??
  14. Would have been awesome to have Bossy on Perreault's wing for the last half of his career.
  15. Gerry Meehan takes offense to that. For the youngins', Meehan scored a goal against the Flyers in the last game of one of the early years(71-72?), that knocked the Flyers out of the playoffs. How did that taste Clarksie? LOL [edited]WOW...I found this video of the goal described above. Look at the awesome crowd reaction. Chet & Muffy got into the game back in the day.
  16. I'll go one step further. I would love it, if McDavid states "I will never play for the Oilers", and the idiots that run the franchise come back with "well...no way we are trading you"...and then have it really get ugly. How would that taste Bettman? I don't care how much people feel the league has "grown" during his reign, you have two franchises in TERRIBLE shape(Florida and Arizona), and the play is going more and more towards defense first by teams who don't have any offensive firepower. Plus you have allowed the officials to go back to allowing anything and everything. All the exciting style of play we saw in 05-06 and 06-07 is a distant memory. SHITHEAD!
  17. They already have Chad Johnson under contract for one more year. Let him be the backup for next year, and find a starter via F/A or trade. Lindback was arguably one of the worst goalies in the NHL last year prior to being traded. Do not be fooled by his play as a Sabre.
  18. You are 100% positive that Murray isn't even considering it?
