Probably not a good time to ask the question as most fans are disgusted with another season being flushed down the drain, but..how far away are they?

I can live with the mistakes as long as they are accompanied by the "holy ***** did you just see what Dahlin did" moments...even as a soon to be 20 year old. Instead the latter don't seem to be coming very often. I'll go out on a limb and say it's 50/50 he even becomes an NHL all-star at some point going forward. I'm not saying to trade him, but I don't see anything that suggests the Sabres will have to hand him a big contract come this summer or next. Even as early as last year, there were estimates of Dahlin getting an 8-10 mil contract. That is laughable. His play isn't worth half that...and the fact that Dahlin doesn't kill penalties AT ALL while even fellow youngster Joker does, says a lot about RK's feelings about Dahlin's play in his own end. With the PK sucking as bad as they have this year, don't you think RK would have thrown Dahlin out there just to see if he could make a difference?

I am thrilled to see this article. The organization deserves every bit of ridicule coming their way...and on the national level...even better. If the intern/inexperienced college grad who was responsible for the jersey screwups hasn't been fired yet, shame on the higher ups.

Well then it's on Botts for negotiating the contract, and Pegula for signing off on it. They better find a way to make sure Skinner is north of 30 goals every season of the contract(regardless of his play on the ice), or this contract will go down as another in a series of bad contracts handed out during the Pegula era.

While disappointing for Ullmark, it is otherwise a win-win. Get to see what Johansson can do at the NHL level, and what UPL can do in a longer stint at the AHL level.

I know Dahlin is only 19, but I watched a winger last night come down the boards, and between the blueline and the top of the faceoff circle, Dahlin should have made a routine play of taking him out, and instead, the player skated right by him. I just sat there shaking my head. This team is cursed.

The usage of Skinner this season after handing him a monster contract is mind boggling. Clearly there is a massive disconnect between the GM and the HC.

I was at the game last night(freebie). A few thoughts... - Highlight of the night...Roast Beef from the Poor Mans Aud Club - This team is boring...or maybe it is the NHL product. No hitting, no great chances...NOTHING. - This team is going nowhere with a blueline full of PMD. They are soft and would get destroyed in the playoffs...if and when they make it there. - Arena is dead. The Pegula era has sapped any enthusiasm out of the paying customers...that is the ones who are still bothering to show up. - What the heck was RK doing pulling the goalie during a PP with 2:30 minutes to go in a 1 goal game? - A serious lack of in game replays(especially penalty calls). Once again arena presentation gets a failing grade. New girl(s) doing presentations/promotions are about as vanilla as could be. Not sure if they are college interns, but as boring as could be. Didn't they have the 97 rock guy filling this role earlier in the season? That's all I've got. I made two trips to the arena this year. First time was a 1-0 shutout loss to the Islanders, and this mess to a team that won 5 road games all season. I'm done for the year.

This is a great idea, and should be extended to military(active, retired, reserves) & first responders. It would help fill the empty seats, and maybe bring a little more atmosphere into the building...and IMO, it's great PR.

I remember in the 70's how big a deal it was as a kid to be able to attend the "open practice". Packed every seat of the Aud....16,433. Tickets were always in great demand. Now? Not so much.

If the Sabres end up in the bottom 10 again, I'd say that except for Dahlin, EVERYONE is on the market...including Jack and his bro Sam. Of course it goes without saying that these roster moves will be made by someone other than Botts, because another bottom 10 finish and he will be fired, right???

Well Terry...biggest night out of the year, former Buffalonians in from all over the country, and your paid attendance is 1,200 below capacity, and who knows how many people who had tix decided to do something else on this night. At least with all the Leafs fans on Friday, the arena should be electric, unlike the morgue it usually is...THANKS TO THE PRODUCT ON THE ICE. ?

So two of the fans biggest whipping boys(Sobotka & Okposo) are out of the lineup and they are still losing to the worst teams in the league. So much for “it doesn’t matter who they bring up, they have to be better...”

50 years of following the Sabres has beaten me down. No longer part of a STH group after 20 years, no longer can waste 3 hours watching them, no longer spending any money on them... ???

Anyone know if Doug Allen is the part time anthem singer because of other commitments, or is it the Sabres choice? If the latter, I wish they would revisit this, pick a person, and have that be your go to person for all 41 games(unless of emergency). On a related side note and I have no idea how much truth there is in this, but I was told 5-10 years ago, that Doug Allen has to leave the arena after singing unless he has a ticket to the game.
