I think you’re taking my statement in a way that I did not intend it. I felt like the poster I quoted comparing the players was missing some important context. With that said, I agree with your sentiment.

I was at the game. Good for Levi to get a game in. He looked rusty in the Amerks win. Gave up three goals on 16 or 17 shots. The second goal went right through him and the third goal he got a piece of on a 2 on 1. I bet he would say he should have had it, even tho that save isn’t expected.

Between this and the echo chamber of negativity in every thread, it’s taking its toll on this place. On the one hand, the franchise deserves it with a record long drought. But it doesn’t drive good conversation. And no one wants to be around negative nancy all day.

I was at the game and can confirm Levi started and Cooley backup up all 60 minutes.

I think the Sabres realize Levi is their best chance at a win when UPL isn’t in the crease. For that reason, I think taking Levi on the road trip is the right move.

I noticed that too. He used his size to get in the opponent’s way on the half wall puck battles a couple times tonight. He is still allergic to a body check, but he didn’t back off…and in doing so, he eliminated their forward progress which is nice. He’s also finding more open space as a puck carrier in the neutral zone. Hopefully this bodes well.

Woody, I’m concerned. You are constantly harping and seem intentionally negative. You have that right. The org deserves that. But the Sabres have won 5 of 7, and the two losses were against the two hottest teams in the NHL. I am in no way making any excuses for the last 12 years, and I don’t think the Sabres were excellent tonight…but I submit to you to try and enjoy the wins. Go Sabres! Now onto beating the Bolts!!
