And what a ride it has been since. We are so lucky to have JA17 and be the owner of the AFC East. š¦¬

Why can't Paul Hamilton say the name Helenius?
Porous Five Hole replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
Paul āwatch your languageā Hamilton has never broken a story in his life. Heās well liked by his coworkers, but ill equipped to be a source for breaking news and does not have a voice for radio. Heās a shining example of being first rather than best, and accepted just as that. Nice guy, bad at his job, warm body at the harbor center just in case a live mic is needed. Iām not on twitter, but he would block me if I were. WGR at its finest. -

I tuned in for 30 seconds in between innings of the Sox game and I noticed Duffer had what appeared to look like tattoos on his knuckles?? Is this a bit from tonight or something? -

Not trying to contradict your pointā¦more to support it. I know offense is easier than ever to score, but the Bills have scored 30+ each of the four weeks of 2025. Itās amazing that we can say we are less than impressed with that output. What a time to be alive as a Bills fan. š

If Kulich is a winger in 25-26, I make a claim. If not, I still might. Heās a pass-first, shoot-second play making C and the Sabres donāt really have that. Suzuki had a great year in the AHL last year (except for +/-) and it was the first time he has been healthy for a full pro season. If a claim is made, that pushes Geertsen & Doan to ROC. I think the Sabres like Krebs just enough to not make a claim. One thing is for sure and thatās there is no logical spot in the Canes lineup for him.

Also, RyJo getting an extended look. Is it possible he can pass Bryson on the organizational depth chart?

Of all the songs, I like his idea the least. Well, maybe second least because I donāt understand the Oasis song at all.

Injury update, Sept 26, 2025: Samuelsson Week to Week
Porous Five Hole replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Now that Muel is a third pairing defenseman it isnāt a big deal heās hurt (again). Zac Jones come on down, youāre the next contestant for the Sabres third pair. lollllllll this quote from Lindy: "He had a good practice yesterday, and maybe that affected whatās been bothering him a little bit. So, weāll just see." -
Don Stevens is retiring at the end of this upcoming season. 40 years behind the mic in ROC! https://www.amerks.com/news/detail/amerks-broadcaster-don-stevens-to-retire-following-2025-26-season?fbclid=IwdGRleANDluFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHvrxzNFvoCkTEpp2jaDOmC4oLqKSedA_bnZSD8qKk8g_KsAFm_NqrWgCvpCl_aem_hqYNTiIbksKL6VJpuwsrxg

As bad as UPL was last year, these other guys are stiffs. Georgiev hasnāt had a save percentage above .900 or a GAA of lower than 3 in the last three seasons. Heās cooked. I guess he was signed so Levi can go to ROC? Alex Lyon at age 32 has started less NHL games than 26 year old UPL in their careers. Their career stats are on par with each other. Theyāre the same guy except UPL has handled a starterās workload before and can still improve with experience. Itās a bad situation and Zuckerās hope is a ***** strategy applies here.

Shane Doan is making this team for opening night
-
Sure, but how is that going to change if he doesnāt play here? The biggest difference between then and now is the pro season he had last year in Rochester (2.20, .917, and seven shutouts in just 42 regular season games).

The BoSox are a year away. Would be great to slip in the playoffs this season, but next year is when their window really opens.

Canadian friends Finger Eleven in Buffalo at the Town Ballroom on Thursday. Canāt wait!

Came to this thread to look for this exact post from you. Nailed it! I did not think the Jays would still have the best record in the AL, but here they are. Hoping the Sox can hold onto a wild card and get invited to the dance. Gotta sweat it out for eight more games.
-
I know youāre pessimistic on this team and thatās fair, but it does matter. Are you betting on Lyon to be NHL average and keep this team afloat until UPL is ready? Actually, I just kind of threw up in my mouth a little. Maybe youāre right and it doesnāt matter. For the record, I would roll with Levi and hope he can catch lighting in a bottle. And I know hope isnāt a strategy, but itās where we are at.
-
Youāre right, my bad. I missed the tab of October 1st & 3rd v Pitt. I did get the season start date correct, so we are still fast approaching 10/9. I have a sneaking suspicion Levi will get first crack over Lyon because thatās what this organization does.
-
The concerning part is no update to UPL and a timeline. I just started a new thread to discuss. If I am the decision maker, it has to be Levi on opening nightā¦.right?
-
I posted this in the training camp thread, but wanted to talk about where we are. There are only four preseason games and they start Monday. Should we be preparing for Devon Levi to be G1 on opening night? UPL is hurt and not much info is available for a timeline. Lyon is an NHL backup who can get hot. Georgiev is a lotto ticket who was signed as a just in case. Are we here expecting UPL out and Lyon or Levi as a starter? Who owns the crease on Oct 9? It is only 2.5 weeks away. Is Devon the plan?

Serious question. Should we be preparing for Devon Levi to be G1 on opening night? UPL is hurt and not much info is available for a timeline. Lyon is an NHL backup who can get hot. Georgiev is a lotto ticket who was signed as a just in case. Are we here with a just in case mentality? Who owns the crease on Oct 9? It is only 2.5 weeks away. Is Devon the plan?

The Fins chance to make a run at a win was dashed with the roughing the kicker penalty in the fourth quarter while it was a tie game. A generation ago if that happened to us, we would have called it a Billsy way to lose a game. Iām still not used to other teams finding ways to lose when the Bills donāt. But Iāll take it!
