  1. Case closed
  2. All true. Steep odds. McLeod isn’t this amazing player that couldn’t be moved to 4C or wing
  3. Too words for Gatordowner: Josh Allen
  4. No one really thought there was room for Benson last year either. If Helenius earns it, it’s not too difficult to sit/trade Krebs, Greenway, etc. An argument easily can be made that Helenius is more NHL ready this year than Benson was last year
  5. Wow - didn’t think it was possible for a small guy to outwork a big guy?? Benson- like
  6. Agreed. Q is, does ANA really want to trade him? And if so why?
  7. Yes he is if he stays healthy as is Peterka. We need another one. Zucker isn’t the answer and Benson isn’t ready
  8. I think Buffalo would do this in a second, ANA would not - it’s not enough. Greenway is a replacement level cap dump, Rosen may or may not be an NHL player, komarov is exciting but who knows. Picks are reasonable
  9. If you have a chance to get zegras you get him. Put him on cozens line at center and move cozens to wing where cozens is more effective (look at the WC’s). cost: Östlund (or maybe kulich), Samuelson, Krebs and or greenway (ANA has to get to salary cap floor I believe), 2025 unprotected first. steep price, similar to what we got for Eichel but he’s not coming off serious neck surgery and his cost isn’t $10m/year. He also becomes Buffalo’s most talented offensive player (tage may argue). Top three lines would look outstanding: Peterka Thompson tuch Quinn Zegras cozens benson McLeod one of the newcomers
  10. Must is Tuscany especially if you like wine: Brunello and Classico Chianti regions are the best doesn’t sound like you’re heading that far south but Positano is ridiculous, pricey but ridiculous
  11. Fair analysis
  12. On July 1, his full NMC changed to a 15 team NMC, so he can say no to half of the league
  13. Which all screams for a need for one more trade, this one for a top 6 forward. If KAs job is on the line, I would think he wouldn’t hope for “internal growth” and the luck card of staying healthy as a way to gain 15+ points in the standings. Tell me he has more in his plans…..tell me. I love what he’s done with the bottom 6, but it’s not enough
  14. Here’s the thing- Farabee seems like a nice idea BUT do we really think KA and Pegula are going to trade for a guy who had the same exact surgery they wouldn’t let Eichel get?? Not a chance in the world unless they’re huge hypocrites. Think Granlund
  15. The more I think about it, the more I think KA won’t be adding a top 6 winger via trade. i think the plan is to have Benson, kulich and Helesius fight it out for line 2 winger. If none shine, zucker is the fallback option i think a trade of Krebs is a distinct possibility
  16. Skinner and Zegras are. Or similar either. I guess if we trade for him, Ruff Would have given his signoff
  17. Sonwas eichel and a change did him pretty well
  18. Helenius makes Whalberg expendable like he made savoie expendable. I think Zegras would play on the cozens/quinn line with zegras playing center but cozens taking draws. This would alleviate a ton of pressure on cozens too. This line would be dynamic - maybe move to our #1, if he can stay healthy I think Quinn could net 40 (or, gasp, 50) on this line.
  19. But….is the current roster the final one?
  20. I think there’s a good chance for a trade for a top 6 winger. Because of Numbers, it would probably have to include one or two guys from our nhl roster - greenway, Krebs, joker…. the top 6 is one short (I don’t view Zucker as top 6 yet and relying on Benson or kulich in the top 6 is asking too much). We’re one injury away in the top 6 of being really screwed and Quinn, tage and Tuch have had injuries. pat Kane would have been a perfect add. I think we need one more trade for a top 6. Think something like Krebs, Rosen, 2015 1st for ehlers. Probably takes more than that to get him though.
  21. Ruff is very much into analytics and always has been. These moves have Ruff input written all over them
  22. It’s easy to discount a player we trade away, human nature actually. Reality is Savoie is a good to very good prospect, I Wouldn’t say great. I hope both teams do well with this trade. Facts about Savoie, which may have made him tradeable in their eyes: 1. He put up a ton of points in juniors year but he should have as a 20 year old. More impressive to me is the 5 points in 6 games in the AHl. 2. There’s something we don’t know that people don’t like about him; 3 minutes of playing time in his one Buffalo game and left off of Canada’s team. 3. His size isn’t ideal and plays more of a perimeter game 4. when the Sabres scouts were watching him after they drafted him they said.”we’d always come away raving about Beneon. He was the best player on the ice.” Weird thing to say and how can this not be taken as a bad thing about Savoie 5. McLeod grew up in Ontario, near Buffalo, Savoie in Edmonton….homecoming of sorts for both. 6. Kulich, Helenius, Östlund and maybe even Whalberg seem better rounded players. Obviously Benson is. Seriously, they may never have had room for him on the roster. Benson is a fixture, Kulich would seem to be next and I think they really want to have Helenius in North America this year. Helenius already has a man’s body (you see his arms) and seriously may be more nhl ready right now than Savoie
  23. Look at McKeod’s QOO and QOT, he played vs a lot of top guys typically with replacement level teammates. There’s some upside offensively if that balances out a bit with Buffalo
