  1. Seeing this, Adams should be calling Toronto saying we can mtch/give you more and VEG is more of a threat to the Stanley Cup than Buffalo
  2. Adams should be doing this with Ehlers and/or Robertson but it's too complex for him. He rather let someone else sign Ehlers as a UFA and someone else trade for Richardson. One can only hope he's looking into these things
  3. Good find. Karlsson is terrible defensively, so this could be a good thing. If Byram is traded and nobody else added, first, yikes, 2nd, I guess you play Dahlin and Power with Sammy and the two new RHD's and see what clicks.
  4. Yep the europeans are typically ultra competitive so there's that. Trying to keep Kulich happy by drafting his younger firends. Melanche Goalie drafted. Big but what I need to know is of he shoots RH. Really Good stats for the Q. Goalies are lottery tickets and should pick one every year, so check
  5. Botterill crazy enough was worse than Adams, yet got another job? Murray i think was okay (though his drafting wasn't good), he just rushed the process too quickly. choosing Botterill over Zito set this team back a decade plus
  6. Didn't think you would be an Adams apologetic? I try to be rationale as I'm reserving judgment until i see what he does next week, but in his 5 years he's been pretty disasterous. I cautiously like what he's done so far this year but if the roster stays as it is, this is another 70-80 point team and he'll be fired. Minimum, if he trades Byram, he needs a top 6 forward. He would also have a huge hole at D2 (sammy aint it) and Goalie (not sure where his love of UPL comes from).
  7. Big 6'4" Center, limited offense, good 200 ft player. Just a guess, but, he ends up being in the 70%
  8. who really cares? I guess Tuch could have recorded it saying (saturday's pick)?
  9. Not when your stat line in 15 nhl games is 0 goals, 1 assist, -6. Some guys are just AHL guys unfortunately....bad pick
  10. Solid pick, I show him ranked at 71, picked at 71. Seems destined to a bottom pair role, with little to no offensive ability, which is fine for a 3rd rounder
  11. Big RHD and nasty. Nothing wrong with it, less offense than sammy which is hard to do, but we alwys need more nastiness
  12. We're looking to trade 71 for another EHL player
  13. Fairburn doesn't like the trade. Thinks Timmins and Clifton are similar, Belliveau is a zero and the Sabres gave away a high 2nd round pick. He says KA loves giving away 2nd's for nothing (trading a 2nd for Mallienstein last year). KA's scouts much love him
  14. Clearing space, but will they use it? all the teams they're fighting for for the last playoffs spots have gotten better. As of right now, the Sabres have gotten worse
  15. After they trade Byram, all these transactions would have saved $14m in cap (after the cost of extensions). Quinn's extension is a wash, as you were doing that either way. How's he spending this $25m in cap space? Tuch extension, Robertson, Marner, Ehlers, ekblad? What's the plan?
  16. I like all 3 guys we traded for so far, though I think all 3 are best suited for bottom of the lineup. Again, we have a ton of cap space but are we going to use it and how. Jaro got Gadreau to go to CLB, maybe he can work magic on Marner or Ehlers.
  17. Cap dump and an impovement on D, plus about 20% of 2nd rounders impact the NHL. Don't hate it as long as others are brought in
  18. But are either going for Buffalo? doubtful as each will have a dozen suitors. Trading for Robertson is your best option
  19. Doubtful as (a) why would he sign in Buffalo and (b) RW is one of our few strenghts. I guess if you can get Marner, you get him and figure out position later. You'd have to move Kulich to LW and Tage back to C. Ehlers is more realistic. Let's see who we get back in the trade for Byram. Ideally futures we can include in a trade for Robertson
  20. I would have given a draft pick to get rid of Clifton. He was so bad in Boston that they benched him for most of the playoffs, so Adams rewards him with a 3 year/$10m contract. Hopefully Jaro talks him out of these types of signings
  21. Timmins is a pushover _ please explain, cuz I have found that nowhere. Belliveau will be lucky to make Rochester, but Timmins looks semi-solid
  22. We're thinking the same LGR4GM. Timmins is definitely better than Clifton and prob better than Samuelson. He reminds of the D we just traded for from Utah. I like these two guys on D - a little toughness just coming into their own in the NHL. Belliveau is just an EHL throwin.
  23. Timmins is a good 3rd line NHL player - really good analytics. I don't see him playing with Dahlin. Cap summary: Out $18m in salaries once Peterka, Byram extended alonf with Clifton. In: $3m in salaries between Timmins and the 2 Utah guys. What Are you doing with this $14m Adams? it better be something franchsie changing. Note: extending Quinn at $3.3 is not the answer
