Radim Mrtka, 6'6" RHD drafted 9th overall by Sabres
Turbo44 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Harrington’s a tool. He’s all over the board - sometimes he attacks the Sabres, sometimes he kisses their butts and is an apologists, often over the same thing. The one thing I give him credit for is he asks good, non-fluff questions sometimes in press conferences. -
9 minutes …..hold on tight the ride is about to begin For you old timers who remember crystal beach ….not a ride like the comet or the mighty mouse or even that underrated yellow roller coaster. More like the spinning cups where you spin round and round, get sick and end up going nowhere

Cuz one team is a perennial superbowl challenger with Josh Allen and the other team is a perennial lucky lottery winner who would die to play golf with Josh Allen. If you don’t get my reference for the last part, it’s from the lengthy tage interview recently done

Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Turbo44 replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I’m assuming they’re losing Provolov to UFA so they prob do need a dman. Provolov wouldn’t be a bad partner for Dahlin btw. -

Well Jaro knows CLB well. Dmitri Voronkov Is the only LW of interest on their roster. 48 points last year, young (24) and huge 6’5”. Not sure he’s 1st line material and if CLB traded him their Laws would look hideous -
20 hours away!!! Don’t hold your breadth - KA’s first move will happen aim august

Nope - Robertson is much better fit

Are there major changes coming this summer and who will make them?
Turbo44 replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Allen, yes Boeser, absolutely not. This isn’t fantasy hockey where we just add forwards with stats. We don’t need a RW at all, we need a LW…..Ehlers or Robertson -
LV was rumored to be one of the 8-10 teams interested in him. Not sure where their cap $ is coming from or what they could offer us??
-
A. Hockey is different than other sports as the foot is in a boot and you don’t really use the achilles B. Rehab from Achilles injuries seems a lot more advanced even in the last couple of years C. It’s only a 2 year extension = minimum risk

"It's really important that you understand that I won't be here when you end up here" -
Quite possibly which means KA doing 2 things at once which means it ain't happening as KA struggles with one thing at once

Perfect opp to Include one in a deal for Robertson -
Could work for Buffalo as Byfield shoots left so could either be your #1 LW or #2 center (with Kulich your #1 LW). Big hole at d would need to be addressed
-
Ehlers would be ideal. Though not nearly the player Robertson is, and older, he'd be cheaper cap wise and of course cost nothing to obtain. I just think, with the market so thin for LWers, he'll have 10+ better suitors than Buffalo and KA dsiad himself, "overpaying for a guy to come generally doesn't work out well)." Makes sense. I don't think DAL can take on Byram's salary. It was also reported that they'd want futures for him.
-
So according to him, since they moved away from Marner they now target Byram who plays a totally opposite position? Seems typlcal Eklund. That site was basically funded by all the post of Sabres activity. He failed to keep a good Sabres Blogger and everybody left (including me). It had to be a blow to his revenue stream?
-
Sadly I’m pretty sure my plan will be better than what KA ends up doing. Granted, he might have “Pegula Constraints” I don’t have
-
Though who knows what the value is for him. Peterka and the guy from ANA didn’t get much. Robertson is clearly the best of the three but his extended cost is prohibitive and DAL really can’t afford him
-
Allen for $4m would work well for all parties. Gives the Sabres a better goalie than UPL IMHO, gives Allen a slight raise, and gives Allen a starting possibility if he beats out UPL
-
Yeah just guessing on both. McLeod at 1.2m isn’t a game change and as for Robertson, I’d be open to give up a lot for him. Ehlers would be ideal (as you give up nothing other than money) but (a) he’s not as good as Robertson and (b) I don’t think he’d ever come to Buffalo
