  1. I don't think the simple projection over an 82 game season gives you an accurate estimate of his potential annual production because he came back from serious injuries, twice this season. Give him a healthy start and year, and I'd say he's a 35-40 goal scorer.
  2. Just finished the first season of this Scifi show based on a trilogy from a Chinese author. You may recognize the names of the show's creators, Benioff and Weiss.
  3. Dahlin has more talent, not by a large amount though. Byram is more aggressive in the O zone, but I think Dahlin had to pick his moments, given the poor D they played. I think we'll start to see a more aggressive Dahlin now as they gain more experience together.
  4. The offense seems to be turning a corner, the team D is better, and UPL is a top 5 goalie in GAA, top 10 in Save%. Oh, and they just went + on the goal differential. There seems to be a lot of "there" there.
  5. Next year could look like: Skinner-TT-Tuch JJP-Cozens-Quinn Savoie-Krebs-Benson Greenway + 2 [Bring someone in who can stand up for his teammates without getting his face smashed in.] Kulich as the first call-up.
  6. A big part of it is UPL who now ranks in the top 10 in save %, and that 3rd quarter change coincides with his emergence as a legit #1.
  7. I admit, I was a doubter too.
  8. Speaking of Ullmark, UPL has moved above him in the save % standings and is now in the top 10.
  9. Shouldn't this thread belong in "Complaint Thursdays"? Mods, please lock and move...... ๐Ÿ˜„
  10. Ha! Pure speculation based on the tense Beane used. I met this guy last October, and "it was nice getting to know him. I also like what he brought to the team." [last year] Perfectly reasonable uses of past tense without meaning he's gone.
  11. Iโ€™m trying to picture what a โ€œviscous hitโ€ looks like?
  12. My 2 cents. The Sabres struggle with young teams that play hard every shift because they have too many players who donโ€™t.
  13. I think he was hurt the other night by the boos.........
  14. I kind of like it. Having tuch on the 3rd line with mittlestadt creates a solid scoring line. KO provides the forechecking of tuch, but not the scoring, which forces TT to pick up the offensive load. 3 solid scoring lines, though the kid line now appears to be #1.
  15. Watching the replay this morning, and just before the goal, Cozens got hurt, and Casey came on the ice to get the assist.
  16. This and coaching. Adamโ€™s has acquired a lot of skill but with very little toughness. Is it so difficult to see what makes up a good playoff team?
  17. Since I don't watch other teams regularly, are the Sabres one of the worst teams in the league at puck-handling and passing?
  18. I wonder if it's ever happened before, a team scores 3 times to tie the other team 1-1?
  19. The Sabres have a lot of skilled players, but they don't look like an NHL competitive team.
  20. All well and good, and it wouldn't irk ME if the team showed some toughness and passion on the ice.
  21. 1 of 4 from the first two, then 2 of 4 with a comeback win against CBJ, but a stinker against the Sens. I think that last game shows who they are, a team with a lot of skilled players, but very few who play NHL-style hockey. They look good in run-and-gun WHL-style games, but play rough with them, they simply don't have the players to "take a stand" against that style of play. Ottawa's players certainly know this, and Cozens or Tuch certainly aren't going to try it again. The team is a reflection of the GM (and coach). Ps. Can't wait for the next video Sabres PR posts with the pretty boys in their suits walking into the arena.
  22. Power using that same stick as last night, the one with a hole in it
  23. Because the CBJ player didnโ€™t score on the breakaway he was responsible for, which is why I say he was lucky.
