I just can’t imagine being Terry Pegula and owning a team for 13 years and failing to qualify for the playoffs one time. I’d be too embarrassed to leave my house. My son is 12 and has never seen a playoff game.

Adams is nothing more than a yes man for Pegula that follows whatever he is told to do. Anyone who thinks he is not under an internal cap is fooling themselves. That coaching staff is ECHL level at best. They will keep everybody and insert a couple young kids to keep costs down. Then be perplexed why it is 14 years no playoffs and 6000 people in the stands.

This is why we are in this mess. The league suggested both Murray and Botterill and Pegula now doesn’t trust any hockey people so refuses to bring in qualified hockey people. Its an absolute joke at this point. I think that new COO they brought in is in for a really rude awakening with ticket sales for next season. Id rather see this to end the season though than missing by a point again and convincing themselves that running it back is the right move.

Do I think Granato is a bad coach, no. Would I like to see a new staff for next year, yes. The issue is not replacing Granato it is who would be replacing him. The team needs a proven, vet NHL coaching staff that demands respect and have proven how to win at the NHL level. Replacing Granato with Seth Appert isn’t a step forward. And looking at Pegula’s history as owner that is the type of move I would expect.

🤬 At the very least Granato’s assistants need to be turfed. A PP specialist and I would like to see a great former dman to come in and work with all these great young dmen. Gonchar and Foote have worked wonders with Vancouver.

Neuchev is a forgotten but talented prospect for the Sabres.

Have the Hornets been terrible on the business side? This guy has nothing to do with on the court results or now on the field and on the ice results. He is strictly business side.

Krebs will either step up at centre or a kid like Savoie or Östlund will get a chance or you use a combination of your surplus of young forward players and prospects: Krebs, Savoie, Kulich, Östlund, Rosen, Wahlberg, 2024 1st round pick to acquire a guy that can fill the spot. All those guys won’t be able to play in the lineup so some are assets you use to fill in holes.

Disagree. Byram filled a big need on the backend. It set up our D corps. Joker partnered with Power has helped Power a lot since the deal was made. The entire pace of play has changed since Bryan has come into the lineup which was desperately needed. Finding a 2-3 C is easier to replace than a young top pairing D.

It was a very good hockey trade for both teams. Mitts fills a need for them. BB fills a need for us. They made another move to find a short term replacement for Byram. Bo has solidified a true top pairing for the Sabres and dropped Joker down to solidify the 2nd pair with Power.

Canucks have been struggling and Demko is out with injury. MIGHT be the right time to play them. Will be a tough game hopefully they find a way tonight and Levi has a big game

UPL has settled in to where you might get two on him but rarely more. It has allowed Buffalo to be in almost every game since the New Year. And credit also goes to their defensive structure which has improved greatly. Hope Levi has a big night tonight. What a concept, quality goaltending😃

Apparently Calvert was at the rookie tournament for the Sabres last year and played for the Pens in this past one. So he was on the Sabres radar at one point. If I was him though I would sign in Pittsburgh right now as they have few prospects and he would rise up the prospect list quickly in that organization.

Atley Calvert is a 6 foot 193 lb right handed centre who has been playing with Savoie in Moose Jaw. He is undrafted and has put up 45 goals and 92 points this season. I wonder if he is someone they consider signing and taking a flyer on. He’s a pretty good player.

Watching the Wings and Seider they desperately need a Byram for Seider. How they get that I don’t know. Getting a quality centre is difficult. Getting a young top pairing dman is next to impossible. I like Mitts but this deal had to be made 10 out of 10 times.

Hopefully he works out better then that other Jets backup that had a good statistical season and then got a 2 year deal from another team.😜
