I’d like to see them give Östlund time at Centre this year in Rochester. That’s where he is at his best as a playmaker. Östlund is a much better natural centre than Kulich. Helenuis and Östlund are two legit centre prospects for the Sabres

I think Metsa will play some NHL games. So smart and smooth. He’s a solid guy to have if multiple D injuries happen.

He tried to split 2 defenders entering the zone and got sandwiched. It wasn’t good. Guy can’t catch a break.

The Leafs did this by signing Stolarz this season who had a great season as backup in Florida last year. Woll, Stolarz and Murray battling it out in net. Florida may wish they had him back as Spencer Knight looked awful against Carolina last night.

This is back to back for some of these guys. Fantilli had a hat trick last night in Washington. Kisakov is a player that does nothing for me. Interesting to see if Chevaldayoff finds a dance partner tonight.

I watched a Winnipeg preseason game the other night. Spoiler Alert: Comrie still stinks 😃

The amount of speed they added with Lafferty, Malestyn, NAK and McLeod is unreal. McLeod skating is beautiful. Last year I would watch Oilers games and watch McLeod fly down the ice and mistake him for McDavid.

Yeah but Boston play a team game that works for them. E Lindholm and Zadorov will fit in and they will be a good team once again. The key to beating them is scoring and getting them to come from behind as they don’t have much offensive firepower.

Just watched the highlight package on YouTube. In the first period Novikov and Komarov ended up on a 2 on 1 and then Rosen sprung Metsa on a breakaway with a beautiful saucer pass. Inthink it’s safe to say the D will be aggressive up ice this season.😁

He’s confused. JoeSchmo said he thought Rosen and Östlund are trending towards busts. He thinks it’s you because of the Joe in your name.

That was fun to watch.. You know these last 2 games are much better than a Rochester training camp for these guys. You can see Lindy’s fingerprints all over this team with the system and aggresiveness. Leone and crew getting on the job training.

Give this group a ton of credit. They work their cans off, have drawn a ton of penalties. Helenuis has taken a couple big hits but bounces right up. He has looked very confident with the puck on his stick. I think Dunne will be a good physical leader in Rochester for them. Rathbone looks like a solid AHL dman. Novikov and Metsa should be their top pair in Rochester. Add Ryan Johnson and that is a good top 3. There will be some growing pains with Komarov transitioning to the AHL but he will be a good one once he gets his feet under him. Not sure why they signed Sandstrom. Not much confidence in him.

I have really like Novikov. Another year in Rochester and then I think he is looking at 3rd pair minutes in Buffalo. Helenuis has looked good as has Rosen. He’s a great passer.

Good news. Dahlin is a warrior and is here long term. I think Lindy is going to have a big influence on this group and Dahlin will take another step.

I don’t think they missed on Johnson or Rosen. Neither might be long term Sabres but like Savoie they can be used to get different pieces they need. I think both Johnson and Rosen will be NHLers for a long period of time. Just not convinced they will be Sabres.
