Chicago had Bédard and nothing else. We can piss on Buffalo all we want but there is enough talent on this roster to be playoff contenders with a couple moves. The problem is the front office either won’t or can’t make the moves to help the team get better. Im not defending that it is a great roster but it isn’t even close to the worst plus the Amerks are first OA in the AHL with a ton of kids playing well. There are pieces here the front office has failed to put them together into a competent team.

I think this is a little ridiculous. I would trade our ownership and GM for any other in the league right now though.

The assistant coaches are still employed because they have existing contracts and firing them would mean spending more money on new coaches. But remember: no financial constraints

I don’t think they will. I think teams are calling so they are listening but they are setting the price so high that other teams will move on to different players.

Reimer has played pretty well for them this season. Tonight was on him though. They needed a couple saves there that he did not give them. That goal by Tage, just wow. That shot is unstoppable when he gets it off like that.

But you would have to make the decision to postpone it. I have no confidence that Pegula wants to make that decision and can Adams.

The only way I accept another rebuild is if it is a new ownership group with a new FO with seasoned NHL Execs with a history of success in charge.
