But he doesn’t have a ton of points right now so like Cozens and Krebs he is useless.😜 -

Imagine this team with Quinn, maybe JJ and even average NHL goaltending. Spend some cash on a good goalie and these guys are in the playoff hunt next season. -
3-2 US in the second. Fantilli and Bedard just two of the guys that makes 2023 a special top end of the draft.

Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.

That’s fine but atleast we get a sense of if they are serious about it or if they are going to push the “Well we want to bring Anderson back and hope UPL can step up” nonsense. -

Someone explain to me what Tokarski was doing there? I would love to watch this team with competent goaltending. -

I am really looking forward to the end of season PC to see what their plan is in net next season. It sticks out like a sore thumb what is the one move they can make to take the next step next season. -
Maybe he looks at it in dog years😜

Your guess is as good as any with this draft. Detroit fans seem to love Kasper as they need a centre and Stevie Y isn’t afraid to go off the board. Lekkeremaki might be a target for them too. If Jiricek is gone I am hoping Savoie has fallen or Nazar is there. At the end of the day though I have trust in this scouting staff after the past couple drafts so I will be happy with whoever they feel is the guy at that spot.

1) Ville Husso 2) Holtby 3) “Just trade for a goalie” who might that be?

I’m not saying Tage is better then Jack. I am saying that Tage is giving us everything this year that Jack would as a 1C. -

President of Hockey Ops -
You are right. I think he just ignores all other ratings and does his ratings based all on future projection rather then current production.
-
Savoie falling, Jiricek or Nazar would make me happy which means Kemell will be the pick.😀
-
Button doesn’t rank the prospects at where he thinks they sit right now. He ranks them based on where he thinks their NHL careers will turn out which leads to some differing rankings then other lists.

My target from this report would be Bo Horvat. 30 goal centre and one of the best faceoff guys in the league. Sound like Canucks want picks and prospects. IF he becomes available he would be a big target around the league. I wouldn’t be adverse to a package with Myers either. “According to Farhan Lalji of TSN and other reports there is a culture chemistry issue in Van. There isnt necessarily a "cancer" in the locker room but there have been many reports that something is off in terms of chemistry and culture within the team. Some will tell you its JT Miller's abrasive personality while other reports say there are too many " relaxed" "chill" guys on the team who dont show enough intensity especially when it comes to practices. Whatever the case is, there are reports that the new management will be very very this off-season and will turn this roster upside down fit more of their liking. Apparently everyone is available except for Pettersson, Demko, Hughes, Podkolzin. What is your prediction on who comes and goes this summer? Some players that might be of interest -JT Miller- 1 yr left. 5.2 mil AAV. 93 pts in 75 games thus far - 7.2 mil qualifying offer as RFA- however he wants long term contract probably around 6.75. Pure Sniper - Horvat- One of if not the best face off guy in the NHL- 30 goals in 70 games. 27 yrs old - Garland- signed long term at a very good AAV- ultra skilled and endless motor- small in size - Hoglander- hit a sophmore slump this season before season ending injury. but is very skilled - Myers- say what you will about the contract but he is a big right shot dman and has played like a top pairing Dman this season. - OEL- similar to Myers, contract is big but he has been an excellent top pairing Dman this season. - Rathbone- promising young offensive LHD- 5'10. Destroying the AHL in his rookie season- 39 pts in 35 games. He might be blocked into making the big team as Hughes and OEL are present. The one consistent message that Allvin and Rutherford have said is that they are looking for cap relief and cap space and arent opposed to taking a step back next season in order to be competitive 2-3 years from now. Which means picks and prospects are welcomed.”

Why are we trying to move Mitts? Sign a goalie, keep Mitts and watch him blossom next year.
-
Not a fan of that proposal. Both Fiala and Mitts are much better players then Comtois. Comtois has 3 goals and 12 points on the season. He seems more like a 3rd liner at best or 4th liner.
-
Good that you got it. Now we don’t have to see you ruin every thread with “trade Krebs” nonsense. If trading a rookie who is trying to constantly make plays but is still adjusting to the speed of the NHL resulting in turnovers is grounds to move him then no team would ever have young talent. The kid was WHL player of the year and has played for Canada numerous times. The fact he isn’t dominating in his rookie season is no reason to move him. Kid is a heart and soul player with skill. You try to aquire and keep those players, not give them away.
-
The problem with goalies is they start to hit their stride around 25. You draft one at 18 and there is so much time until they really start to peak. Young goalies (18-24). Very rarely are dominate 1As in the league. The position is more mental then physical and takes time to mature and understand that part of the game.
-
Yeah I’m not pounding the table for either of them but they are talented and we have space and assets. Thought it would be interesting to see people’s opinions.
-
Stop with the Krebs BS. You are either trolling at this point or you don’t understand what you are watching and how player development works.

“According to Michael Russo, the Minnesota Wild will likely be forced to trade either Kevin Fiala or Matt Dumba this offseason. This is because the buyout penalties for Ryan Suter and Zach Parise jump up to just under $13 million for next season. Fiala is a pending restricted free agent who will be demanding a raise from his current $5.1 million cap hit. He has earned the right to do, as he is having a career-best campaign. In 75 games, he has set new career-highs in goals (29), assists (44), and points (73). Needless to say, the Wild would love to keep him around. Yet, given their very limited cap space, they will have a lot of trouble doing so. “ What would you give Minny for Fiala and Dumba this offseason? Dumba has one year left at $6 million, Fiala will want to be paid but has earned it. Minny really can’t take back a lot of salary. Would they be interested in VO who will cost money but less then Fiala and will be productive and Asplund who is cheap but effective defensively? Or a package around: Vegas 1st+ Bryson+ Ryan Johnson I don’t know if there is a fit but Fiala is a talented winger that would fit the age range and Dumba would solidify the back end with a chance to extend if there is a fit.
