Watched the Rangers feed. Announcers were really complimentary of the Sabres. Really good things to say about Dahlin And Power. They were fawning over Levi by the end. Great to see Mitts on this run. No way they move him. Dahlin, Power And Mitts get extensions this summer. Both goalies were lights out tonight. I don’t know if Buffalo trusts anyone but Levi in net until they are eliminated.

Stop positioning your personal opinion as fact. There is no indication the Sabres aren’t interested. The pick would be at the end of the 2024 2nd round so really a 3rd round pick. They should sign Johnson. He is a good defensive dman. Something they need more of.

Levi starting again. There is no way they are coming back with UPL and Comrie next year. Trade UPL, put. Comrie on waivers if need be. Sign a vet free agent as a security blanket for Levi.

Watched Quentin Musty. 6’2 winger who is very talented with the puck on his stick both distributing and scoring. Really took off after a coaching change in Sudbury. Being a Buffalo kid I have to believe he will be in the Sabres wheelhouse if he is there when their pick comes up. Where he is ranked come the draft will be interesting. I have seen some rankings that have him at the back of the first, others outside the first but his game really came on the second half and guys with his size and talent don’t grow on trees. I think he will be a riser come final rankings.

Hat to see you with a facial wound but he is. As a young player he does throw it away under pressure but he is one of the best passers on the team in relation to finding open players for opportunities in the offensive end.

Just ignore him. He’s trolling. He has no idea what Johnson’s roll is or how goods a player he is. The coach didn’t put his best line or best d pair on the ice to start OT. Coach’s decision and it backfired.

Ryan Johnson SHOULD have been on the ice to start OT but he wasn’t.

Chatter that both Dahlin And Power get extensions this summer. I would get Power locked up as soon as possible. Before he puts on another 15 pounds of muscle and goes beast mode.😀

Quinnipiac stun Minnesota 10 seconds into OT. Minnesota has a 2-1 lead and completely shut down in the 3rd. Shots were like 15-2. Quinnipiac pulled the goalie and finally scored after all the pressure. Really surprised how much of a non factor Cooley was in the game for Minnesota.

Playmaker in the purest sense of the word: passers to set up plays. Mitts And Krebs are the two best pure passers up front.

Casey is their best pure playmaker up front. They don’t have a lot of pure playmakers in the system. They have a lot of hybrid scorers but Mittelstadt’s playmaking is needed in the lineup. When Tage gets healthy I wouldn’t mind a few games of Mitts between Quinn and JJ and see Cozens with Greenway. Just look at some different combos and see how they mesh. (After they are mathematically eliminated that is)

Rosen with 2 goals for the Amerks so far tonight.

There is no goalie in the league that will help this team if they run the same defensive system back. An upgrade on the backend is needed but if they don’t fix the defensive scheme and lower the high risk chances against it won’t make a difference. I will be surprised if UPL is back next year. I think some combination of Joker, UPL, VO and picks can all be used to upgrade on the backend.

I don’t agree. Playing in the intensity of a playoff series is hugely beneficial regardless of league. Quinn, JJ and Krebs benefited last year and Kulich, Rosen and the gang will benefit this year.

He has high end defensive instincts. I still think he is not in top shape/ completely healthy. I think we see him blossom next year here. 15-20 goals depending what line he is on.

Carolina don’t have a ton of offensive depth. With Svech out I don’t see them doing damage in these playoffs. They are well coached and disciplined and don’t give up a lot of high quality chances. Full marks to the Sabres for that win. Tage is playing through something but still contributing. Mitts continues to blossom. What his final form will be I don’t know but he seems to be a key piece in that group. A third liner who can fill in as your 1C in a pinch has value. Some guys develop a little later ie Tage, RNH hitting 100 points in EDM at 30. You have to say Granato is a tremendous developmental coach. These guys are all blossoming. I thought Levi was good today. One area this team needs to really improve is the forward group in the defensive end need to anticipate better and be way harder on pucks near the blue line. This offseason is big. A couple of the right moves will set this team up for a long window of success. This is the first time in a decade I haven’t really looked at the draft and the prospects. Lets finish strong and as high as possible.

Good that Levi is in net. As I said before, UPL and Comrie have had all year to show us who they are. Run Levi and let’s see how he does against strong teams and how he plays after a game that didn’t go his way.

I thought Lindgren-Komarov made a good pair at prospects camp/Prospects Tournament. Lindgren asking to be traded from Memorial Cup host Kamloops was curious but Brent Sutter runs a strong program at Red Deer.His numbers were down but he seemed to pick it up as the season wound down and he seems to be picking it up in the playoffs.

I’m pulling for him to go home to Vancouver. Keep him on the west coast.

Atleast Borgen has stopped people from talking about how losing Will Carrier ruined the franchise.😀
