And another thing....š There are are certain athletes in sports that just look different. That just pop when you watch them play. Levi is one of them. He just looks special. His combination of skating ability, tracking, concentration and positioning and quickness make him stand out among his peers. It still sticks in my craw that the Olympic team didnāt give him the net for a game. He has the pedigree, ability and attitude to be special. I think he signs this season. My worry is if he plays in Rochester next year while the Sabres go with UPL and Comrie and it doesnāt improve that there will be a ton of pressure to call him up prematurely. He is not a kid who rushes through anything with his career.

One thing they need is a guy with some size and grit (along with skill) to play with Cozens long term. When he is stirring it up and 3 opposing players are in a scrum with him you canāt have the JJs and VOs looking for a place to hide. That has happened on a couple occasions in the past few games. Not an enforcer, not a guy that has to protect him. Just someone who is willing to jump in and be counted. The Sabres have a ton of small skilled forwards in the organization which is fine but Cozens isnāt going to stop being feisty and stirring it up and a guy riding shotgun that can handle himself a bit but also play at a high level would be nice. Those are not easy to find.

āPeople like youā Jesus Christ you are an egotistical bastard.š I have watched all the eras of hockey from the early 80s up until today. Yes the game has evolved but your statement is still ridiculous. Give me 1983 Grant Fuhr in todayās equipment over most of the NHL goalies today let alone College goalies like Minneotaās. The butterfly style has changed goaltending but is it better? There are tons of awful goals given up in todayās game. The best players of any era would be great today. Honest question: do you think the game today is the best hockey has ever been? If you want to make the argument that an all star team from today would beat the 83 all stars then I can get into that discussion but not a college team where half the players will never sniff the NHL and only a couple will have significant pro careers. Itās just silly. Denis Savard was great in the early 80s but he would phenomenal in todayās game.

Ryan Reynolds: part of group bidding on Senators

Iād be directing that hate at WB and Martin Campbell on that movie. -
Yes an all star team with the #1, 3,6 and 14 ranked all time scorers in NHL history would āget destroyedā by a college team led by Logan f@cking Cooley is absolute Comedy Gold. š

Maybe Bally is going out of business because they are using the old Fox tracking for the puckš¤¢š¤® -
5 minutes left in the 2nd and Savoie has already recorded his mandatory 2 points per game.

Is it normal for players to announce this early that they are not signing? Gives the Ducks a chance to flip him for something. Have to let the other team to talk to representatives to see if he will sign with another team before a deal.

You are correct about the training and the game changing but your comment about the 83 All Star team is still utterly ridiculous. You are talking about some of the greatest players of all time. I have watched Minnesota play and it wouldnāt be close. Gretzky or Logan Cooley, Coffey or Jackson Lacombe. I guess Rocket Richard would be an ECHL player.

Jakob Chychrun scratched for trade related reasons
Flashsabre replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
A Sabres fan on another board proposed: Muel, Peterka, Joker and a 2nd for Chychrun and a couple other fans chimed in that Adams wouldnāt have the balls to pull off that trade. I think I need to take a break for my mental health at this point.š¤Æš³ -
Score pinning all your hopes on the kid remember that Miller got blown out in his debut. If the Sabres donāt commit to playing defence Prime Hasek wonāt be able to help them.

Are the Sabres out of the running for the playoffs?
Flashsabre replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
The only playmaker on the PP is Dahlin. No one is capable of running it down low. I donāt thinks Mitts or Krebs are capable of doing it consistently if they are the go to guy. But it is worth trying since what they are running out just isnāt working. -
Are the Sabres out of the running for the playoffs?
Flashsabre replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
They need to realize the PP is a mess with Cozens in that spot. Either put VO there as another sniper option or a playmaker like Mitts or Krebs. At some point Granato and staff are going to have to commit to playing defence. No team wins without it. They are an absolute mess in their end. -
North Eastern do Levi no favours in their own zone. The amount of unforced turnovers was eye popping. (Yes he will be ready to play for Buffalo) After getting screwed out of the tournament last year by Canada Iām so glad Levi got his BeanPot. Kid delivers

I wonder if the Sabres are still in on Chychrun. Seems a lot of public postering going on. Announcing they are scratching him for trade reasons, smoke that Kings are the team and then it falls apart. Maybe Sabres were in and telling Lance to announce they are out was a way to call Coyotes bluff on a higher ask.

You know the āMahomes Callā was coming. That call every game that inexplicably goes Mahomes and the Chiefs way and sets them up to win. š

Two awful efforts in a row at home. They play much better in the road. They arenāt sniffing the playoffs til they commit to some type of consistent defensive system. -

A Leafs fan on another board proposed this deal: To Leafs: Garland (almost $3 million retained) and Myers To Canucks: 2nd, 4th, Kerfoot, Unnamed B level prospect šš Leafs fans are the best. Iām sure Canucks are doing backflips over the chance to acquire that package of goodies.
