To me Musty is the real wildcard for the Sabres. The hometown kid who played in the Jr Sabres system and who is a big, highly skilled winger. Does adding another potential Tuch draw Adams and the team towards drafting him. I think 13 is too high but do they trade back to later teens early 20s to get him and pick up another pick. He has as much upside as any of the 2nd tier forwards. I have no knowledge of what they think of him but it is an intriguing storyline. The more I watch Sweden the more I like Wallinder’s game. Mobile dman that plays hard in all zones. Would be a great 2nd round pick if there.

Yawn, Same ***** temper tantrum as a few others “Wah he didn’t say the exact words in the presser that I wanted to hear.” If YOU had listened to the press conference carefully you would have heard that winning the Cup is the main goal. And the Bills have been a disaster in the playoffs. The fact they have fallen on their face repeatedly and Diggs is fed up with it really doesn’t work in your favour. Adams laid out his plan. He is not sacrificing long term success for short term gains. People don’t have to agree with it but he is sticking to it. The biggest problem is that Adams is doing a proper rebuild but it is coming in the midst of a 12 year run of futility. The 12 years are not on him but he is doing it the right way even as fans are upset and impatient.

There is an entire thread dedicated to debunking this

Your whole narrative is ridiculous “He is afraid” Afraid of what? He has told us the plan for 3 years. If you can’t understand it or don’t want to listen that is on you. He hasn’t said once that there won’t be changes. I guess going after Chychrun was not about change or improving. I guess signing Jost was no changes. I guess Greenway and Stillman were no changes. I guess signing Levi was no changes. If you honestly think at an end of season presser that the GM is going to lay out an elaborate plan for next season then that is on you. It has never been that way.

Yeah it Brown died off after a while but Wood is like a cockroach his name just keeps popping up.
-
Nope, it is Miles Wood by a margin but Borgen has been coming on strong of late.

THIS IS NOT TRUE. It is an article from overseas where the writer is not reporting but laying out a dream scenario offseason. It includes luring Rousek back overseas to his former team. It is no different then any of us saying we would like the Sabres to sign or trade for Power’s long term D partner.

In the history of Sabres messageboards no player has been more overvalued or brought up more than Miles Wood.

Maybe he tweaked the injury while warming up. I just know the kid is a warrior, he craves the big moments and being the guy. He isn’t missing playoff hockey unless he really can’t go. -

I’m sorry but you have no clue what his injury is so stop acting like he could be playing but is choosing not to. -

The kid is a warrior. If he isn’t playing then he can’t play. -
Sandin Pellikka with another goal and assist so far today. Wallinder is another solids RHD for the draft. Not flashy but seems to play a solid all around game. Craig Button compared Sandin Pellikka skill wise to Erik Karrlsson and said “what team wouldn’t want Sandin Pellikka?” And I said “come visit Sabrespace Craig”😁

It’s not about getting one more dman that will fix everything. It is about a commitment to play better team defence in front of the goalies. When they cut down on high danger chances against the team and goaltending will improve greatly. I do want to see an upgrade on the backend but it has to go hand and hand with team play all over the ice.

The thing that worries me with Barlow is that he is playing with a full beard. He has fully matured already. How much room to grow/improve does he have left to do. I always remember my dad telling me when he was 15 he played with a guy who was considered the best player in Canada. The guy never had an NHL career. He peaked at 15. Some guys mature early and don’t improve as they move up levels.
-
People keep saying Anaheim but I don’t see it. They are absolutely loaded on the backend with Mintuykov, Zelwegger, Luneau, Lacombe, Warren and a few others. If he wants west coast L.A and SJ are his choices.
-
I agree. Adams is very careful with his future cap knowing it will dry up with all the young guys maturing but they are in a very good spot.

The Sabres had $17.1 million in space this year. Next year Tage, Cozens And Muel kick in for about $19 combined. They lose Bishop, Okposo’s deals and if VO and Comrie are moved that is about $18 combined. The following year is when Dahlin and Power extensions would kick in. People are hoping Dahlin Signs for $9.5 or so. He is already making $6 so you would be adding $3-4. Power will be the bi addition at that time. Then Tuch will be coming up. At some point you might need to look at Skinner’s $9 and see about moving it out. They are not in bad shape but the money will dry up quick if guys like Quinn take that next step.
-
Maybe he has just been terrible the games I have watched. Edit: His NHL numbers look solid overall so i will chalk it up to some bad viewing by me. I would be open to Schneider or Miller but I don’t see a reason for the Rags to move either.
-
After watching Miller play this year, I wouldn’t. Gets abused defensively and I don’t think he has a high hockey IQ. I would do it for Schneider though.
