I almost forgot one of my favourite moments of the Amerks game yesterday was the guy rocking the Amerks Milan Bartovic jersey.š

This is now the second person to say they have heard the Sabres have interest in Hellebuyck. From the Athletic's Michael Russo: āhe becomes available, donāt be surprised if Buffalo and New Jersey take big swings. One thing weāve heard early this offseason is that the Sabres have interest in Hellebuyck, with the belief that a genuine No. 1 goaltender could be the last remaining piece in turning them into contenders. Getting one would also allow them to hold off on turning the reins over to Devon Levi until heās proven to be NHL-ready. The Jets would want young team-controlled assets in exchange, and the Sabres have plenty of those ā from a youngish goaltender in Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to promising talents like Peyton Krebs and even Casey Mittelstadt.ā

The Stanley Cup Playoffs 2023: Second Round GDT.
Flashsabre replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
Not bothered at all. The situation here was never going to work with Eichel, Reinhart, Risto etc driving the bus. They were great players but the mix was never going to lead to success. I would make those trades 10/10 again. Those guys went to teams with established cultures where they just had to blend in. Good for them but the culture and system Adams has built here is much better for the Sabres future success. If Levi And Kulich hit like we think they will then that is a tremendous trade for Reinhart. Eichel for Tuch, Krebs, Ćstlund And Greenway is also great considering the situation they were in. -
Gallant isnāt fired for results as much as personality. He never seems to get along with the front office. He is not an Xs and Os guy. He lets vet players play. He probably has a grating personality and doesnāt listen to suggestions from above. He is hired for his previous results and then canned for his behaviour. It sounds like his āpeople skillsā are lacking.

Jobst is a good AHL player. Heās small but is a dynamo at the AHL level. The fact the Amerks are on this run without Biro speaks to their depth.
-
Rosen isnāt shying away from the physical play along the boards at all. He is looking bigger but still needs to fill out. He is very confident skating the puck up the ice. His skating and shot are both high end. He is not a pretty perimeter player. He gets his nose dirty. He was a dominant player at the WJCs and his confidence has seemed to carry over. Appert, Peca, Weber and company are doing a great job of bringing the kids along. Glad to see a bunch more are on the way next season.

Was at the game today. A lot of Amerks fans in the stands. I donāt get the Marlies at all. I donāt see anyone in that lineup that will be a future Leaf. As someone mentioned, cleanup the PK. That was the only time the Marlies were dangerous. The Amerks have a really nice mix of quality AHL players and young guys with NHL potential. Kulich, Rosen, Kozak, Cederqvist, Rousek all have NHL chops at different levels. Mersch is the leader up front. Murray plays well at the AHL level might make a 4th line for someone. Jobst is an impressive little offensive player. Warren plays well at this level. Pilut is a star at the AHL level and Davies is a good puckmover. Impressed with how smooth Metsa is just coming into the league. Subban is a difference maker in net. Makes all the routine save and then some great ones on top of that. Kulichās shot is elite. Rosen really impressed me. He has difference maker skills. Rousek should be a Sabre next season. Does anyone know the history of Cederqvist and the Marlies? They were all running at him all game. Really had a target on his back today.

Levi and Quinn (and now Krebs) make Team Canada for IIHF 2023.

Krebs has an assist on the Crouse goal. He looks good. -
Amerks win! Really were the better team tonight. First time watching them this year and really impressed with the kids making an impact. Kulich with a goal in all 4 playoff games he has played. Kozak is built for playoff hockey. Really impressed with Rosen. If he fills out even more then look out. Rousek should be a Sabre next season. Great wheels, hounds pucks and is a great playmaker. Liked Metsaās game for a guy just stepping into the league. Going to Saturdayās game. Letās make it 2-0 heading back to Rochester!

Ryan Reynolds: part of group bidding on Senators

Disappointing -
Peca sounds like Kozak is his pet project. Would not be surprised if Kozak is the Sabres shutdown 4C in another couple years.

You could try it. I would have Cozens as the centre on the line.

This guy is from the scouching school. Skate fast through the neutral zone with the puck and attempt a lot of passes raises your stock. Big bangers are a no no.
-
Michkov is thought of in the same breath as Bedard talent wise. It is his situation that has dropped him. He will not fall far. There is no way Washington would pass if he fell that far.
-
They put Tage on the wing because of his injuries. He is their 1C.

Connor Murphy from Chicago checks a lot of boxes. Adams should slip in a pick swap in fine printing and before the Hawks know what happened we have Bedardš Murphy, Graves, Clifton, Gryzlek, Roy are all players that can be acquired through trade or UFA that would shore up the d corps and the PK. I think they need a #4 and a #5 this summer.

Glad he is out west

But LA wouldnāt. I think they see Clarke as a replacement for Doughty. Iām not as high on Clarke as some either. His skill is tremendous but his brain worries me.
