It's as if they did something Terry Stupid refuses to do and got just about the best coach on the market and are reaping the rewards. But don't you worry: We are going to give the job to a guy for winning a stunning one third of his games which proves he's the guy and isn't going to be complete fool's gold like the last guys (also the fact he'll be the lowest paid coach in the league has nothing to do with it. Once again: How do you get rid of a losing culture by being OK with losing and throwing away seasons (In a league all but rigged so that just about any team can compete for a playoff spot)? That mentality needs to die and this organization needs to start having standards that need to be met like every other team in the league does.

With this current roster minus Jack and Sam they are far more likely to finish with 55-60 point than 80. Even with Dahlin it's the most putrid roster in the league by miles.

People simultaneously ranting about needing to change the losing culture while calling for getting rid of the few NHL players we have so that we have a roster that's lucky to win 15 games and gets killed on a nightly basis is itself quite a disconnect.

I have learned the situation with Sam stems from an altercation with Tage a few weeks back:

If he did he'd resign and tell Pegula to hire an actual qualified and proven GM.

Because the guy coached multiple teams for years and almost never missed the playoffs, something this fetid tub of dogshit organization hasn't even done once in a decade. He's as close to a Barry Trotz (remember how he got tagged as a "playoff loser" for years until he wasn't?) as we are going to get.

Go to Boudreau and give him whatever the hell he wants. We need a credible proven coach who commands respect and brings credibility.

So Jack is going to be traded and the guy charged with pulling it off is a GM who is just about the most unqualified GM hire in hockey history. Yeah...

The team being bad isn't what broke him. The team ***** with his health and wellbeing did. Seriously how hard is this to understand???

No hockey person of any repute is coming to this organization. This is the Chernobyl of hockey, the most toxic organization in all of pro sports.

Anyone who thinks Jack is in any way the bad guy in all of this is so monumentally dumb that I marvel that they are even capable of breathing.

Then this team is trapped in a living death forever. Simple as that.

Anyone who grew up in CT in the late 80's-early 90's and was a rags (or teddy bears) fan is worse than Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Peter Karmanos combined. Also it's very clear by his not even having done an interview for the 50th anniversary celebrations he wants no association with the Sabres whatsoever so yeah, screw him. May he fail as miserably as an exec for his beloved rags as he did a player.

Unfortunately that was several years back before he became a leaguewide meme.

We are playing teams fighting for either positioning or their playoff lives with half our starters out and being forced to use the 4th and 5th goalies on our organizational depth chart and having to undo all the damage that conman inflicted on everyone. Being competitive under those conditions is an incredibly positive sign. If we resign Ulmark and find a competent professional #2 goalie making the playoffs next season is well within the realm of possibilities.
