  1. That seems like a bad fit to me. Is that a Kovy hangover remedy?
  2. I finished the year neutral on him. I think he has a chance to grow into the opportunity.
  3. Everyone knew this that watched the playoffs. I'm just smiling because they overpaid to begin with and he is essentially on the shelf until January of his first season. I figured he would be back to start camp, but his rehab seems pretty long for this era of sports medicine.
  4. Horton out 4-6 months after surgery.. *cough suckers *cough
  5. Thanks for the warning. I don't need to watch that. Let me amend to say both live. I get there will be carnage. What is the legal interpretation if stand your ground means any old ground, not just your property line? Is this the Florida equivalent of no fault?
  6. So what happens in a he-said, he-said standoff where both have concealed weapons, both are discharged and both claim stand your ground rights?
  7. That's NFL/NBA money.
  8. Me neither... Not sure I would have ever connected the dots in the way it was suggested.
  9. And that rumored bankruptcy thing..
  10. I know.. That's what I thought. I admit I pushed his patience with a few "but Judge..." After the third time he was done with me,
  11. I would have liked to done it. I've sat through one trial as a jury member and found the process to be fascinating. The whole process is so completely different than portrayed on TV. The most maddening aspect is knowing that information is being withheld from you that would/could change your opinion. I like how Arizona does it where they allow the jury to ask questions. I got the judge so mad at me that he yelled at me. I was asking for information he would not provide based on prior rulings. I was insistent and so was he. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
  12. This from yesterday's Newsmax article entitled: Dershowitz to Newsmax: 'Prosecutorial Tyrant' Violated Zimmerman's Rights "Dershowitz tells Newsmax he expects there will probably be a lawsuit filed against Zimmerman for civil damages. He said civil-damage cases require a lower standard of proof that a wrong has been committed, and Zimmerman would not be able to avoid testifying. But Dershowitz adds: “I don’t know where you’ll find a lawyer who is prepared to bring it, because it has very little chance of success.” link: http://www.newsmax.c...gn=widgetphase1 I did not follow the case in any detail other than reading the daily headlines. So I went an read about the editing. Certainly makes for a compelling conspiracy theory from those on the right.
  13. Knock, knock... Who's there? Travon Martin.... Travon Martin who? Welcome to the jury... ... Who's laughing now?
  14. Is this going to be another OJ Simpson outcome where the prosecution fails in getting felony indictments but a civil complaints jury will slap him down?
  15. Nice pay day.
  16. So was the 2013 free agent frenzy a 2013 free agent fizzle?
  17. She got what she wanted, publicity.
  18. Is that player in next year's draft class?
  19. In addition to cap going up next year, does anyone know if team revenues are going up too (besides ticket prices)? Hockey is not like football where higher labor costs can be absorbed by revenues from TV deals. At some point handing out 9M contracts is going to even hurt the big market, big spending clubs.
  20. I've never seen something like that before. Imagine the pressure to move a sewer cover.
  21. Some on here would allege GM's tastes like weasel.
  22. Now that I know what that means, that's cold :P
  23. Pretty sure that makes you the Dean of the board.
  24. This is fun from CNN: "(CNN) - After the emergence of photographs showing Secretary of State John Kerry on his 76-foot yacht “Isabel” on Nantucket Sound on Thursday, the State Department issued an embarrassing correction Friday morning, back-tracking and acknowledging that the Secretary was in fact on the yacht on Wednesday, the day the Egyptian military staged a coup against democratically-elected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy." Everyone knows the best time to pull stuff is July/August when Washington/Europe is on vacation.
