  1. Love the beat down the Broncos put on the Ravens last night. Love it.
  2. I think opening a season with just two QBs and neither has an offical regular season snap under their belt is making history.
  3. The killiing fields of Baltimore is worth a stop, The Inner Harbor is safe and compact. You can see what every tourist sees in 1/2 day. I would then use the balance of the day to stop in Annapolis and see that (as recommended above). Annapolis is an afternoon and then off to DC for a night tour of the monuments. DC at night, under the lights, without the throngs is worth doing. Then come back in the day and do what ever monuments/musuems you want to. DC is an all day or two.
  4. And now the kicker... Marvelous.
  5. If you sent to my yahoo, just reactivated it. I don't use it and they deactivate it every year. Can you resend my invite?
  6. Lewis and Leinart gone.. Smith and Kolb on IR. I guess that means Manual and Tuel are the QBs. If Manuel isn't ready to go are they really prepared to go into game one with just Tuel? Did I miss a signing somewhere? Edit: I see. They are at 50 now with the cuts and trolling the NFL flotsam for a QB.
  7. Scott cut and Smith on IR interesting 24 hours for the Bills.
  8. So Byrd has a foot injury and is seeking a second opinion. Marvelous.
  9. Last night across the league is the perfect argument to why the 4th preseason game needs to just go away. It only matters to a few fringe players trying to make the practice sqaud for most teams. It is an unnecessary risk to starters (so they sit) and teams don't want to show anything on film that their week one opponent could use.
  10. That's awesome. Nothing cuts through the night like the bag pipe..
  11. I don't see 6-10. I just don't. The LBs and DBs are too weak to hold anyone from running/passing on the team. I think we'll see more to cheer about in the offense and special teams this year, but the defense will let this team down. Please Buffalo make me eat these words.. Please.
  12. I know I view my team with myopic glasses, but sheesh, can't they get out of just one training camp in tact? Every year it seems like injuries dismantle this team before they even start playing, I sure hope Tuel aint a tool or a fool. I'm counting on you Tuel to shock the world. Bring it.
  13. Awesome news. Let's hope he is the next coming of Joe Montana.. Well done.
  14. Career ending concussion? Yikes. It sure didn't look like much when it happened.
  15. I didn't get a chance to see the game. Giving up that many rushing yards with the first team defense doesn't bode well for the long haul.
  16. It's not hockey season yet..
  17. My bias against Kolb is not built on 1/2 of football, although that 1/2 of football sure re-inforced it. It is built on watching football for 40+ years and my personal instincts on what makes a QB. I was listening to Fran Tarkenton one day talk about QBs. Fran used the term "it". He was talking about QBs with "it", as in QBs that had "it". That intangible quality that separated the elite from the best. His list was pretty small and I agreed with all of his selections and his rejections. His list of QBs with "it" were, to the best of my recollection: Not in his order, but my recall order. 1. Tom Terrific 2. Peyton 3. Eli 4. Aaron Rogers 5. Brees Those he was watching, but sample size was too small or he still wasn't sure. These guy could promote in Fran's eyes. 1. RGIII 2. Luck 3. Ryan 4. Flacco 5. Rothlesberger 6. Newton In my eyes, Kolb is not and should not be a starting NFL QB. Kolb does not have "it" and never will have "it". I honestly don't know if Manuel does either. But I would rather not waste another NFL season with another journeyman QB as starter, even if it was only for 4 games. The NFL has numerous recent examples of rookies starting and doing well enough. The sooner they know about Manuel/Tuel the better. Trial by fire. IMO, if you're good, you'll survive and thrive it. QBs with "it" seize their chance and never look back.
  18. The problem with shutting EJ down for the preseason is that (a) it gives Kolb a chance to start and (b) probably is what they wanted at OBD all along. They now have their built-in excuse not to start the rookie and justify their decision for signing another QB with PTSD-like symptoms.
  19. So EJ lasted a whole 3 quarters. Marvelous.
  20. Kolb is making the QB decision look like an easy one to make.
  21. There was a lot to like in that game yesterday. If only it was real.
  22. I like the way Tuel looks down field. One game does not make a career, but EJ didn't look down field much. He had a high completion rate for little yards. Nice 2m drive by EJ. Nice to see them win a preseason game for once. There was a lot to like in this game including Kolb stapled to the bench.
  23. So Kolb hurts himself walking on a mat.. I read an article that says one national beat writer called Kolb a 'poor man's Ryan Fitzpatrick'. Ouch.. Start the rook... Should be fun.
  24. It'll be nice to see a down field pass again.
