  1. As good as we may look at times ... it’s the freakin Senators. And we are hanging on to lead. Barely ...
  2. Stay semi close to home to get maximum time with activities instead of on a plane or several planes. hockey hall of fame/Toronto rock n roll hall of fame adirondacks camping/hiking although it will be cold so a hotel or cabin would be best. washington DC to see the White House, capital building, Smithsonian museum etc ... NYC area whatever you pick, look up “best thing I ever ate” or “diners drive ins and dives”. Watch YouTube videos together and see what places look good to go eat, and make it a fun destination trip inside a mini vacation. It will be cold, but if they have zip lining open within driving distance. just some thoughts ...
  3. I’ll be patient with TT. He’s young and needs developing. If JB keeps him in the AHL for a bit next season, maybe he can round out his game and come in at some point and be more effective. His D game, skating and decision making with speed need improvement. He’s not a lost cause or a bust. Far from it.
  4. They all have black SUV’s... copycats ... ? Seriously ... good job dad!!!
  5. I’ll be going to this barn burner tonight. The wife and I will be going to Chef’s beforehand. I have a feeling the best part of the night will be the spaghetti parm.

  7. I like where your heads at… I was pretty much thinking the same exact points for each player. It’s reasonable it’s logical it’s even tempered. Even though at the end of the day 7.3 seems about average for what skinner may get, I think considering that the salary cap will continue to increase, I would be very shocked if Skinner accepted under 7.5, and more likely to settle on 8.0 or so. And I’ll believe it when I see it, that Skinner is going to test free agency. I’m not convinced he will and I’m not convinced he won’t. Right now I think it’s a tossup no matter how much people want to read into his comments, they are public media comments. For me they carry little weight.
  8. Thanks for that! That’s good info. Who in your opinion is more streaky E. Kane or Skinner? Who do you think brings more to the table besides just pure goal scoring, Kane or Skinner? And finally who complements his line mates better, Kane or Skinner? I know I have my thoughts about that.
  9. Well I would throw Pac right out. Comparables to me ... no more than 1 calendar year in age in either direction no more than 1 year ago signing a contract. Comparable to a very very similar production average of no more than 3 prior years. wingers only from the top 2 lines of their teams. and finally take into account percentage of team cap the contract takes up. Knowing the cap is most likely going up and up and up over the course of the next 7 years. I would be shocked if he signs less than 7.5. Expecting 8.0. Surprised if it’s above 8.5. at max or near max term.
  10. Doesn’t the date, they signed those contracts mean anything to you? How about the age they signed them? How about the years of UFA were bought? They do with me.
  11. Go down by the glass near the benches during morning practice and again at pre-game warmups. A player may throw your son a puck.
  12. From what I remember ALL practices are open to the public unless otherwise stated. Your best bet would be to call account services or customer service for the Key Bank arena early early ... to see if they can help you find out any info.
  13. Such a crock with his super secret Sabres source. Good grief ... grow up Jeremy.
  14. I don’t think it’s so much about McDavid leaving, as it’s about semi-gutting the Oilers and building around McDavid and 3-4 others on the team.
  15. I would agree with this. This is not a trade. Clickbait title. if the title said something about “put your trade proposals here”. That would be more accurate.
  16. No issues with that. Go kick some a$$ in the playoffs! Work on your game/conditioning over the summer and fight for a spot next fall.
  17. I read that as ... players saying things to the media that keeps them in good standings with the fans. Like all players do. clickbait food to gobble up.
  18. Still ignoring? Yea. I’m still waiting for the list of 100. Hell, I’ll even settle for a list of 25 of the top (non top 10 draftees) who has little or no AHL or similar developmental league experience and yet have to be the top (top 10) scorers in the NHL over the course of their careers. Go back 10 years if you want. Bigger pool to give you a chance to back up your proclamation. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you won’t do the work ... keep deflecting ... yawn ... Edit: oh I just caught another nugget... so because you didn’t mention any other league except the AHL. One can glean that European pro leagues like Liiga, KHL, SHL do a great job at rounding out a players game and help develop them to be good NHLers. But the AHL which is a pro league in NA doesn’t. ?
  19. It’s cool with me if you want to follow and like other teams. Knock yourself out. But it IS trolling (for a reaction) when you come into a Sabres forum and comment how any team is doing amazing and you love them and follow them, and the rest of us must be dumb to follow such a crappy team etc... You’re smart. You know the difference between a small comment not meant to troll (for a reaction). And a comment that will garner reactions. Hence trolling. Enjoy your currently doing well team, respectfully, in a Sabres forum. Is that too much to ask?
  20. I'm still waiting for this nugget from you ... Re: top 100 scorers in the past decade.... Only if you take out all top 10 draft picks since most top 10 draft picks are talented enough to go top 10, and therefore see little if any junior or AHL time. As you know, that really wouldn’t make your point of players not needing the AHL and it not being a developmental league, if you selected someone like Crosby or Malkin and said “SEE ZOMG! They didn’t need AHL TIME!” ??? You so conveniently ignored.... And the topic of Development in the AHL.... The burden of proof is on you bro. You want to make ignorant comments about how the AHL and or pro leagues over in europe are not a developmental league for the NHL and most players don't need it. YOU provide the proof. Because both leagues are tremendous at rounding out a players game. And i'll say it again, i'm not talking about the top draft picks that don't need AHL time. But of course you know this .... I'll be waiting. And waiting. And waiting.....
  21. In the extremely short sample size VO has overall looked good. Typical rookie mistakes here and there, but nothing outrageous. i guess it pays to develop in the lower leagues. Although some would deny that’s the reason.
  22. Naturally the one that doesn’t have sick deeks and dipsy doodle moves. Oh and only if the player is on the Sabres. It’s No wonder why Afinogenov was a fan favorite of casual shallow hockey fans. Speed, moved all over the ice in a Tasmanian devil kind of way. Looked like he was the best player trying the hardest.... but when it came to putting the rubber in the net, most seasons his productivity was average to below average. He left you wanting more productivity. But a player with the same production or even a little better, but was creative, instead of fast. Great on ice IQ, instead of sick dangles. He was considered “not at good” and “over rated”. I would take a player like Ryan Smith and Dave Andrychuk over Afinogenov all day everyday.
  23. Assuming you weren’t being sarcastic... I’ll try to help you ... manscaping landscaping think of those two meanings intertwined and read that posters comments again. if it goes over your head this time ... you need a stilts
