No Dahlin?? oh deer

Just “discovered” hockey. Wanted east coast team to follow as I could see some of the games live. Sabres were about to pick Dahlin. Looked like the only way was onward and upward. Jerseys are nice too.

For me, anything formal. Ceilidhs (traditional Scottish dances). But also Scotland football/rugby. In school if we are celebrating Robert Burns, St Andrew etc. They are not so commonplace anymore around cities. But find the right old man’s whisky pub with someone playing folk music and you’re almost guaranteed a kilt or two. It’s sad though. A lot of the younger generation are not really interested in celebrating Scottish culture. It’s not. This is a non traditional/non clan tartan. (Found out after I bought it that it’s for the tv show outlander: if that helps). my tartan is McDonald as my mother is in the McDonalds of Glencoe clan. Dads side is Irish.

Got a new kilt in the Black Friday madness. I love wearing kilts, shame there’s not too many occasions for them these days.

I get that announcers are homers, but these guys are just dull. Dull AND patronising. There’s literally no play by play. I miss the old nhl.tv we had here in EU. You could at least choose which commentary team you got. RR and DD may not be brilliant, but I’d rather have them

Looking through the roster it looks like it’s not just Okposo with the 1K milestone. Potentially Skinner and Eric J will hit the 1000 mark this season depending on use for the latter. Zemgus could get 700 depending on his return date. Dahlin, Tuch and Greenway look likely to hit 400. Joker is nearing 300 Powers and Peterka just played their 100th Thought that was cool.

It’s new over here. But as part of a team building exercise at the school I work in we had a staff sports day where we were introduced to pickle ball and had a few games. Was fun.
