  1. If he stays with the Sabres he will be what he always was.
  2. 1st rd selections have an increased % of reaching the NHL, let alone be impactful players then lesser rd selections. The drop off is significant. Decreasing the pool for a player that once again, has not led his existing team to a Championship match, let alone a championship, while decreasing the cost control and pool of the existing pipeline, which in turn will have a snowball rolling down hill effect on cap as the team will look to FA, which is far more expensive than KA's draft and develop strategy is one of several examples of why a deal of this nature should not be done. Those assets moved to acquire a player of McDavids value will be missed, whether you realize it or not. Again, all to acquire McDavid, who's led no one to the promise land as of this date.
  3. Some of those assets will reach the NHL, some won't. The ones that do become integral cap controlling assets early on. The idea is to keep that "affordable" skilled/talented pipeline going over the next decade and beyond. You create a rather large hole in that strategy by gutting what is a healthy size of those assets. That back fill will most likely have to come via FA signings, which in normal circumstances not healthy for the cap room, which in turn rears its ugly head in roster issues. McDavid has accomplished nothing of significance towards a championship to date......the ROI for a move like this is far more risk than staying the KA course of build and develop from within.
  4. You and I have interacted in several threads over there, in agreeance of course 😀
  5. No list has ever been published, it was speculated I believe, by some.
  6. And that 2 years is only significant if..... 1. McDavid extends beyond them for the maximum years and..... 2. McDavid can carry a team to multiple Stanley Cup Championships Selling the next 10 years of this team for 1 player, a player that has not carried his current team to a Championship match, let alone a championship, would not be considered prudent or wise. Stay the course, if he's avaliable at the end of his current contract, pitch an offer for a 7 yr contract, utilizing some of those very assets that will be NHL ready to roll in most cases as additional positives to the term and amount of contract.
  7. You won't have to. Just wait until the contracts up and sign as a UFA. No reason to gut the pipeline.
  8. All I know is my son in law used to go to the Otters games, he wanted to play for the Sabres bad, and that was long before he was drafted. He loved Ellicotville I was told anyways. But who knows now that he's matured some. I still see the Sabres as #1 on his list. I mean, honestly, think about the situation he'd be walking in to at the end of 3 seasons from now. A team stacked with skilled wingers, skilled down the line up in centers, with high end blueline talent, all coming in to their beginning core prime years. And he loved it in the area to boot. I believe if he doesn't re-sign in Edmonton, Buffalo it is.
  9. To be completely transparent that early Oilers team was stacked. McDavid, if he goes to UFA, will be Sabres, I have 0 doubt about that.
  10. I do, and I use a different username, because I can 😜
  11. I just didn't pay any attention to him 😂
  12. I wasn't aware, hence why I said, "if he's not a US Citizen".
  13. In today's world where Police Officers are assassinated at rather alarmingly rising rate, every threat must be taken literal. If he's not a US Citizen, once this situation is resolved and punishment completed, if there is factual evidence of this threat, he should be immediately removed from the country, permanently.
  14. I live on Winbert, on the retention pond
  15. Soooo......the fake Bob McKenzie account worked......
  16. Just bare in mind, he did say there were less on the market available. He did say a couple just listed 40+ acres just north of Cuba Lake for a steal, but those type of sales are situational, he said he thought they were getting divorced. But other than that, people that had listed he said were pulling off the market due to the deflating pricing. Not necessarily slim pickings right now, but not as robust as the high market value days. Just an fyi.
  17. Excellent info and report LG. I really do admire your attention to detail in your scouting reports. Thank you for that.
  18. A bit off topic but property ownership related.... A close family friend of ours has been dealing real-estate down in the Southerntier for 41 years now. We spoke over the 4th, he comes up for my annual bash. He was telling me in 20-21 Canadians who owned acreage down there were selling heavy at near 2k an acre, now, he was telling me in the past 7 months or so average acre cost have dropped to 11 to 14 hundred an acre, many with cabins/cottages/homes on them. He said the market isn't just adjusting, it's in a collapse. The wife and I started looking.
  19. I'm guessing you lived in the Krueger neighborhood in between Ward and Ruie Rd? Yes it is, NT
  20. TC's is very good. I worked at Pizza Junction on Erie Ave. in NT back in the mid 80's, 2 of the guys I worked with started Good Guys Pizza, very thick, but very good as well.
  21. If ol sug packs had the same battle as I do now with geese I can relate to the madness lol
  22. Always a fun family chat......
  23. Let's hope this new relationship bares fruit. Not sure what the issue with Cinnci was but I was stationed at Cecil Field in Duvall County (Jacksonville) back in the day, it's actually a decent area. Not Gulf side or South Florida decent though, we don't want the players falling to much in love with it, 🙂
  24. WHY?????? Why would you do this to me??? WHY????? Pizza is my addiction, I went up from 198 to 244 lbs during covid. I just crested down below 233, AND YOU POST THIS!!!! Why don't you kick my dog while your at it..... 😛
