  1. And there we have it.
  2. They can start in my backyard Lil' turd dropping bastards
  3. Stanley Cup Winning Jack Eichel (Ducks)
  4. I have no fear either way. I look at it as simply 2 strategies with some possible variables on both ends of the spectrum is all.
  5. As fans, we are assuming Power will achieve or ascend to a certain level of value status based on not only performance, but projected performance. Given his rather still young age, it may be beneficial for a 3 or 4 yr contract to see if he hits an early ceiling. In either case, long or short term deal, there is some risk. And that is one example of several where a short term deal allows more flexibility for the organization. I look at the glass as half full, as well as half empty.
  6. I believe a shorter deal for Power is smart for both the organization and the player. They bridged Dahlin, if they brought Power to his UFA year I'd be concerned. 1 yr left as rfa, I'd feel more comfortable as it gives time for any potential maneuvering for the situation, no?
  7. Why would KA consider putting a road block up to his own drafted and currently developing choices? Choices and development appears to be on solid ground by all indications to date.
  8. Don't you be using that rational thought process on me, in the age of irrational, knee-jerk reactions 🤣 All kidding aside, this could be the case.
  9. It's been awfully quiet on the Olofsson front. Actually, it's been dead silent on anything KA may do. Looking like the Sabres have a water tight ship info wise.
  10. No thanks.
  11. I don't know about the bolded. In today's world it's no longer merit based, it's based on ideological beliefs in most cases, and that is just the times within which we live. At least from what I'm witnessing out there now anyways. 🤔
  12. You dropped your binky. (Ducks) I kid, I kid......... You bring up valid points, but we are still in the off season. Let's where we stand at season open in October. Patience?
  13. Each contract, individually, has input from both sides of the table. The agents try and get the best deal for their clients, but it's the players who have the final say on a yay or nay on the contract. If the players believe in what management is doing, they buy in. The NHLPA can do what exactly? Bad mouth the Sabres organization and KA? If they go that route, they're bad mouthing the players who believe in what KA is trying to build....."with them as partners in such a build". Players play for reasons, sometimes it's money I am sure, but more often than not, it's to win. If the players believe in what KA is doing and buy in, as stated above, the NHLPA would be wise, and have been wise enough, to support the players.
  14. I see nothing of value in bringing him on board to be honest. We have a pipeline to harvest from. Both may be a slightly elevated risk, but the organization showing confidence in their own chosen players that they've help develop would go much farther than bringing in another forward, imho.
  15. Alot of people have just cause to be skeptical on science, given the modern day messengers of such actually caught in factual lies. Science may be science, but the messengers determine its absolutes. Sometimes, reality hits like a concrete wall.
  16. Message transmitted to KA from Sabres fans....... "Where is, repeat, where is our goalie tandem, the world wonders" 😉
  17. This statistic back up what many on the Boston boards on HF and the NHL Bruins forum site have said. Very good 5 / 6 d man. Then again, maybe our analytics guru's can bring some clarity. And of course, I'm interested in the "Meatballs Affect", what the coach and his staff are looking to do if Clifton is in our top 4. Same with Johnson for that matter. I just don't know nearly enough about the variables involved, again, if 1 or both of these players are expected in the top 4 d, to not be skeptical. But maybe they surprise, or another move is coming, who knows.
  18. "Hey Blackhawks, your podium looks like the sleeve of your uniforms." There, feel better now?
  19. Oh ya, well Ralph never had a cool nickname like Donny "Meatballs" does! So there's that...... 😀
  20. I am skeptical. Boston was one of the top defensive teams in the league last season. Buffalo, one of the worst. While I agree both individual player as well as group growth will help, it is highly suspect to believe Clifton and Johnson are going to be the additions that stabilize the back end.
  21. Clifton and Johnson are the droids we're looking for.
  22. I would thunk Buffalo is a better choice than SJ or Nashville at this point. The one team no ones mentioned with regards to Pesce is Edmonton. They have the cap space, they have the need, they are in "all in now" mode.
  23. We have BuffaloNILL and PA, they don't, and that makes all the difference 😀
