  1. Sabres afternoon, Bills evening.............it's christmas morning all over again...........
  2. It was, and they did to a greater degree of success than some other teams. They do need to be better at it this time though. Just like Colts and Ravens game plan was to keep Allen and Diggs off the field, so to is the Bills game plan to keep MyHomie off the field. That will require a running game on Buffalo's part, or, a successful short game in the pass. Either way, execution of the game plan against the Chef boy are D's is going to be critical imo. Yes it was, ya know what brings that number down? Keeping the KC offense off the field as long as possible. Time of possession is going to be critical this game for the Bills, again, imho.
  3. Agreed, I don't think they can keep Hall without moving some salary out. That being the case, if Buffalo is out of the playoff hunt as the trade deadline nears, I agree picks and prospects are what teams that are in the playoff hunt looking to bolster scoring with a guy like Hall will offer. I'd want picks.
  4. I want him back as the Sabres coach to be honest.
  5. Had to go and sneak a peek in large mode. It's so small on my screen I always thought it was a tribute to Larry Playfair 🙂
  6. It's the 20 year curse that your feeling. As a Buffalo sports fan since the early 70's, rest easy, the curse is over. They got this, Buffalo will be going to the Super Bowl.
  7. Just making an opinionated assessment based on the knowns is all. And like I said, I don't find it completely unreasonable, or zany, as it were.
  8. Question, if I may. What makes you think guys like Eichel, Reinhart and Risto are going to stick around past this season as it falters yet again? And I'm not talking solely about your rebuild idea, but the honest question fans, and the organization for that matter, should be asking is at what point do these guys (1 of which has already said he wants out, Risto, another with rumblings of "tired of losing) say I've had enough and demand to be moved. I'm going to say this now, and it wont be popular I know, but if this team falters this season, Eichel, Risto and Reinhart are demanding out. That is my humbled opinion, and, it has some merit to be considered reasonable given the recent past comments of a couple of those players. Therefore, I do not believe KA has the clock to "evaluate the organization" nor should he need it given the fact he's been a part of it. As for management changes, sure, why not. But as of now, in the view I have over these past 5 years or so, the Sabres are on the clock, and the clock is nearing the end of its countdown.
  9. With the start to this season going the way it's gone 9n the first 5 games, not surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the RD's isn't on the move in any potential deal.
  10. I'd have to believe they keep him given his goal scoring abilities, but, who knows.
  11. Raanta's on IR, no?
  12. I like the Z in the name more than the I 😄
  13. It is a big trade. Columbus gets a couple of wingers. Looking at their roster on Capfriendly, their center spine is definitely questionable, no? If so, could there be more moves from Columbus coming?
  14. Well wonderful, at this rate of speed they'll have another 1B backup in here by the end of Feb. Just in time to suck the "love of the game" out of him as well. 😄
  15. Dreger now reporting a deal is in place or done, Winnipeg Laine, Roslavic and a 3rd for PLD
  16. I am happy the Sabres name was mentioned in the PLD situation, even if nothing comes to fruition. If there is a deal to be had somewhere in the league, I'd expect a goalie to be a priority for the Sabres, but, given Ralph's propensity for hanging with Hutton and Ullmark I just don't see it happening this season. Oh to be a fly on the wall in Adams office at this time. I sure would like to know what the plan is here, what their mindset, their thinking is, both on what they currently have and what they see as a way forward given the expansion draft, the contracts and so on.
  17. I'm not so much frustrated as I am furious. And what I mean in that is the Sabres have known for some time their positions of weakness and their positions of need on the roster, they've known it since the tear down and rebuild began. No, I don't believe the players are to be let off the hook in this. As one of our new posters, JoeSchmoe pointed out, the captian, Eichel himself, has in fact had a casual approach to the game at the beginning of this season. Now whether that's a lingering injury situation, or it's just bad habits forming, I don't know. What I do know is this, JoeSchmoe is correct, as the captain, he sets or helps set the tone for many on the team. It's not a good look no matter how you slice it imo. But more importantly, if indeed Eichel is floating, while healthy, then that's a sign of a much larger problem than just the roster. That's a sign of no accountability, and that falls squarely on the coach's shoulders. And when looking at these early games objectively, the chaos is reigning up and down the roster ranks. That, my fellow Sabres fanatics, is unacceptable. There must be a change of course here, and it must be done immediately imo, or not only is this season lost, but I suspect players who have been here long enough to continuously feel the sharp pain of never coming close to the playoffs will most certainly bail in the next 2 seasons as they see no course correction, no change. Just my 2 pennies is all.
  18. You can only blame the players for so long, the Talent is here, on the roster. Each one of these seasoned NHL vets on this roster have had individual good seasons. We've seen players come here already battle tested, fail here then leave, and become battle seasoned again. It is the management team and coaching imo.
  19. Well, we just lost to a completely depleted Washington roster. Fire the coach, it's that simple.
  20. If Terry and Kim are belly crawling with a pink slip in full on arena camo tonight, I would actually consider this game a victory.
  21. Yep, you have me, mine was from San Diego, She's down in Fayetteville, NC now, and she wasn't a sports fan at all. She was a slender Ms. Hawaiian Tropics winner (1988). Ya, I know, I know, beauty is only skin deep, but man, I was 19, SAR Swimmer, Navy, she had such a freaking body, GOOD GOD, I'm talking instant SCHWING!!!! here. Lesson learned........
  22. I agree. Housely was no better, neither were the ones before him. Honestly, the last good coach Buffalo had was Lindy Ruff, and I hear he's still available for a head coaching position.
  23. Unfortunately. But, on a positive note, she's not in WNY, I am, therefore, all is right with the world 😉
  24. Let me crack another beer open, I'll get back to ya 😄
