  1. What do you do when someone gets shown the stats are junk, ignores them, and posts them with authority in their new thread over and over again?
  2. Seal Team 6 is dead after conveniently killing Osama right when Obama needed a poll boost. What's your point? Do you want the country to fail at this?
  3. If you believe the anecdotes, the method of treatment is to prevent the fluid build-up and secondary bacterial infections that get you with the immune system overload. Prevents the needs for hospitalization is the point of the treatment. The ventilators help you breathe while you're filled up. They aren't doing much of anything to reverse fluid build-up. But the media is in an active campaign to prevent this $20/person treatment from being widespread. They even banned Rudy Giuliani on twitter and others for making similar awareness posts like our site moderator did. The media who makes 1/2 of their revenue from pharmaceutical ads. Yet, detractors of it are standing on a high-ground where the only acceptable course of action is multi-billion dollar multi-year long clinical trials to get some proprietary treatment protocol tested and approved first. Just silly if you ask me. They've gotten rid of all the red-tape that turned 20$ ventilators into $5000 devices that are in small supply and exposed medical device industry for the con it is. Why the hesitation on drugs that if they actually don't work 100%, nobody but idiots drinking off-label fish tank supplies and ODing on it die from it.
  4. I consider myself the Joe Exotic. Honest about my opinions and upfront about them. I may not see all the facts like you do, but I ain't afraid to hide it. Probably get banned for this as some sort of personal attack, but hey I'm having fun on a messageboard don't @ me Meanwhile, I consider you operating under the Carole Baskin philosophy. You present 2%rsq p=0.4 junk statistics as they are some moral, idealistic high-ground and pretend it means something, flashing graphs of these models in shades of blue and red to people as-if they mean something, when deep down you're just a huge hypocrite afraid to admit that the stats really don't say as much as you wish they would and you can't moneyball hockey like you can with batting% in baseball. And it sucks that Joe the LSS BB has to call you out on it.
  5. Meanwhile Governor's around the country are calling Trump irresponsible for mentioning the treatment and banning its use in the state (Nevada and Michigan and another I believe) Medical industry has always astounded me. There's more doctor mistake deaths every year than COVID. Half the stuff that's 'clinically' proven doesn't get repeated and long-term side-effects are basically completely ignored. Studies are majorly flawed left and right (often for practical/ethical reasons) but it doesn't stop 'money-making' drugs, but will stop anything else with a sliver of hope. Well understood compounds get cast aside for crazy new small molecules that aren't even naturally found in nature (in any relevant way). Glad to see the 'well we know the side-effects and safe dosages, why not' approach is working. At the very least, it gives the clinically proven placebo effect.
  6. Superlatives don't make you right. Neither does bad grammar and formatting. This isn't slam poetry. Connolly's hands didn't do those things, until magically they did. It's a great analogy. You can say 50/50 chance he isn't going to be a good forward and I think that is fair. Still a 50% chance he comes out of his demotion with the confidence and body growth he needed. It's the 'he's 100% bust' attitude where is my ROREEEEE???? that I am posting against. Then again, I can understand your confusion. Society has been pushing slam poetry as a debate form:
  7. Mittelstadt lost all his confidence stick handling when guys literally doubled in weight in college and pro. He has the skills though, just a lot of baby fat and a frame to fit into. He gets sent down to Rochester takes a few games to figure things out again and then all of a sudden is a solid contributor doing things again. Classic case of just too much of a jump in competition. Give the hot takes a break.
  8. Supposedly there’s a tape in the trial where Joe is explaining that Jeff and him have an alibi incase the hit job gets caught and that alibi is essentially what Joe used in his defense and Jeff turned against him. Don’t understand how that means the feds get to give the actual hitman and the guy who setup the hit, before the feds were ever involved immunities so they could railroad joe for the ridiculous presumption that 3-5000$ is what a hit job costs.
  9. Reality tv is all acting. this is someone following a guy making reality tv as a lifestyle and the real stories behind the acting are even better than the ones he tries to create. It’s like the opposite of game of thrones. Where everyone is evil but the show gives you all the inside takes to try to make you like them. In tiger king everyone is evil and if you just for a second may have liked a person, just you wait they are truly terrible through and through
  10. aka, two to three times worse than a normal 'bad' influenza year
  11. afghanistan and iraq vet too, if you ever wondered how getting an arm chopped off could be shrugged in a few weeks with no remorse
  12. He* I truly felt bad for Joe's former employees. The interview after the one testifies and he passes out drunk is gut wrenching. The feds are scummy awful too, lest we not forget. Throwing out immunity to former killers and the would-be killer even after their failed entrapment based on heresay. What's criminal is the defense attorney for Joe not getting a jury to throw that crap completely out
  13. Would you be opposed to 2 years out of Soderberg?
  14. I hope to god they aren't blatantly mis-using them like you do on a daily basis.
  15. Silly to draw conclusions. Botterill hasn’t gone after the cream yet in his deals, or at least, not a good enough offer to any of them. Now he has cap. Unknown territory
  16. NYC only cares about NYC. You live to serve NYC.
  17. Does the team need him to be more than a cheap reliable bottom pairing defenseman?
  18. Aren’t most of germanys elderly uhh dead from the Great War 2? Skewed population demographics. Really isn’t the time to be playing the comparison game and trying to make comparisons with simple metrics that are easily skewed.
  19. It all comes down to Allen. The rest of the team is built pretty well and he has his #1WR. Could he use a more reliable TE? Sure. But it all comes down to Allen
  20. Do we have any idea when Delaware North contract is up for renewal? I don’t put it past Jacobs to hang this over their head as he’s also the ‘big wig’ in the Owners circle.
  21. You’re not wrong. But it’s a regressive proposal aimed at a key demographic.
  22. His hockey reference statistics are wrong then ?. I’m glad to believe I always thought he was closer to 5’9”
  23. Not being political If you can pay off your student loan, do it ASAP. The reality is, student loan forgiveness is a 3rd rail. I have hope one day they cut interest rates to a nominal inflation factor, but nobody is going to have current loan balances forgiven without public service similar to the forms that already exist. Maybe they go the extra mile and make college cheaper/free in the future (don't hold your breath, college is an industry). The Democrats are virtue signaling with it hard right now, but it's ironic because it's an extremely regressive bandaid that personally affects every single person significantly in one way or another (skipped college being prudent, paid off loans early being prudent, forgone college 'life' being prudent, guess what- you're a fool!) It just won't happen. Pay off that student loan in full if you can. The interest rates they charge are criminal.
  24. He's 1" away from being a 'big guy'. I swear, people and height don't mix well. Though looking back, apparently Michael Peca was 5'11". I always thought he was small.
  25. I thought Jeremy Jacobs also is the one who employs the FNC workers and would also be the guy not paying them. That evil contract was signed a long time ago wasn't it?
