I think Jeff Skinner was a good subtraction, he was a real liability almost all last season. A one dimensional goal scorer is great on a Stanley Cup type of team not for a team trying to build 1 imo. He will give us the room to add a guy who is offensive but isn't a defensive liability.

Unlikely I know but there are still current prospects he could deal.

Some players I'd like the Sabres to sign (I know wishful thinking): Some players Id like for the 3rd line center position- Chandler Stephenson (UFA), Alexander Wennberg (UFA), Sean Monahan (UFA), Martin Necas (trade) Some top LW options now that Jeff Skinner- Nikolaj Ehlers (trade), Joel Farabee (trade), Pavel Buchnevich (trade), Jake Debrusk (trade) ? not sure if he's a top line player (probably not)

This is why I rely more on my eyeballs then most of these ridiculous stats because when you deep dive analytics there always seems to be flaws in them. I know the math nerds are going to go ham on my assesment but I dont care. LOL

Same, Hockey is really hard to guage especially draft picks since they take so long to develop but I'm starting to get a grasp on it.

Another LHD? Why does Adams not care about this? I saw videos on how this is a disadvantage in certain instances when a LHD plays on the right and vice versa.

I like that our last 2 players selected have physical traits, much like the player we picked up in the deal with the Caps, they are emphasizing that we need to get more physical but the thing I don't like is that we waited this long to get these types of players but baby steps I guess.

You know what's going to happen, Adams will make all of his draft picks, add a few more 4th liners and bring up our younger players who haven't earned a place on this roster yet. I fully expect this to happen and it will be the last year of Adams until we hire on another unqualified GM to take over.

We keep hearing Kevyn Adams saying there is no trading partners yet a team with no name makes 2 very impressive trades. I really am starting to like the kid from Washington the more i read on him but to think we could have received Sergachev or Marino is really inexcusable to me.
