  1. Ok so what would a team give up if they wanted him?
  2. I’m just trying to be realistic and I’m sure they’ll bring up that the cap went up. I’m not saying I want that or that they should pay that but I think that will be the ask, I have no inside info just my own hot take.
  3. Ullmark signed for 4 years 5M AAV. Ullmark got that contract with a 9W 6L, 2.63 GAA, .917 % UPL has 27W 22L, 2.57 GAA, .910 %
  4. I've said 5.5M from the get go is what it will take. If we can get him for less I think that's a bonus.
  5. Guys like McDavid are measured by Cups, it may not be fair but unless he wins multiple cups I don't see how he's in the same conversation imo.
  6. Because it hasn't happened since 1942 or something ridiculous like that.
  7. He embodies all that we’re missing here. We have the picks and prospects to get it done imo but definitely difficult with a division rival.
  8. If they're truly thinking of buying out Skinner I'd definitely swing for the fences to bring in Brady Tkachuk. If that means we lose both Mathew Savoie and Isak Rosen to go along with the 11th overall this year and our 1st next year then get er done. His name wasn't just mentioned out of thin air so where there's smoke there's fire which means someone from the Senators front office is accepting calls for him. There should be nobody untouchable other than perhaps Dahlin from this roster.
  9. Holy hell, what a terrible deal. I'm assuming they did this knowing full well the return would never be the same if traded but I could be wrong.
  10. I love the fact that he stresses "We need to get tougher", it's about freaking time. Seems like this team folds like an accordion when we face off against a more physical team and I think it's very much needed. I don't think Jeannot is going to be as cheap as some here think, if I'm not mistaken didn't they pay a 1st round pick for him? I'm hoping for both Yakov Trenin (COL) and Jeannot (TB), that would sure bring some toughness to this lineup that we're definitely missing imo.
  11. This saddens me... I haven't been there in some time but I've had all good memories there, saw many bands, met my sons mother there and although we aren't together we have a great kid because of this really amazing place. RIP old pink you will be missed!
  12. I just feel like billion dollar business should have a name already in place... This whole "ask the fans" is just dumb, the same fans who came up with Washington Commanders should have 0 say in it.
  13. Utah Hockey Club? Seriously? You can come up with like 1000 different names in a weeks time, no team should vbe called football team or hockey club.... There should always be a name otherwise it's just ridiculous imo.
  14. I guess we can all pretty much agree on 1 thing. We have a long way to go to match what we’re seeing in the SCF.
  15. I'll agree to disagree here, in no way shape or form is anyone going to convince me that JJP, Thompson, Quinn bring any of what I'm talking about. Tage sometimes brings it but it's not enough, same with Tuch but the others offer really none of that imo. The guys who bring that almost every game is Greenway, Benson and Cozens but we need it throughout the lineups on each line again imo.
  16. I realize size doesn't always equate that's why I said I want power forwards, who already have that in their DNA. Some of the guys I'd like from the Panthers who don't fit the mold are Ryan Lomberg (only 5'9"), Nick Cousins (5'11") and the only guy that does is Sam Bennett at 6'1". I know we have bigger players currently on the roster I was basically meaning our prospect pool (which I know some are over 6'0") but again I don't see any element of a power forward/grit/physicality in Rosen, Östlund or Savoie but I do see small bits in Kulich. A whole team of guys that are nightmares to play against is what I've wanted since I can remember.
  17. Is that me, Edmonton or both getting bitch slapped?
  18. Edmonton is being physically dominated, this is why I want to do away with these small, skilled forwards and start brigning in power forwards. Florida, Boston, La Kings all dominated with physical play and solid goaltending.
  19. I don’t really get it either but it’s still a dick move on the Capitals.
  20. The way Granato and Adams spoke about him like he was Wayne Gretzky it’s really not surprising at all.
