Dude I didn't single out Dahlin if you go back to my original post, I simply said I want to get bigger and tougher and cited a few players get pushed around and names Dahlin as one. It doesn't mean I want him replaced, I obviously want him to succeed since I'm done with the suckfest that has been the Sabres for quite some time.

What is it with you? Everyone I mention Dahlin I'm a hater? I like his game since the all star break but he gets pushed around aka bodied alot for a guy his size, you can tell me otherwise, you probably will but I see what I see and you see what you see.

Ok and he gets bodied all the time , hence why I said bigger and tougher. There is your more.

I'm ok with the non call as both were going for the puck, high sticking was borderline imo I'm sure it won't be popular but it emphasizes me wanting to get bigger, tougher players. Bryson has gotten bodied several times, Dahlin several , Skinner goes down once touched. Also Bjork and Eakin seem worthless, how about upgrades to those 2?

I truly think this would be an even trade. RW Reilly Smith is a free agent in the offseason, he makes, or was making 5M per season so they could offer a 5M per year contract to Olofsson (which is my guess is what he'll be asking for). Whitecloud and Olofsson have similar contracts now so it could work for both sides, nobody would have to throw in anything else.

We seem to have troubles with these scrappy, grinder teams which is expected. I thought the effort was there but we just got out worked in our own zone which 9 times out of 10 means you'll lose the game.

True but we can always take salary back also like we did with the Islanders I think it was for Boychuck.

I wish Jack well, it was an unfortunate situation that happened but hopefully we got a real captain out of it (Tuch) and a solid 2 way player (Krebs). I'd say the future looks bright.

I'd say trade him straight up for a RHD, some names I saw that could be available are John Marino (Pittsburgh) 24, not sure of his contract but he's a solid player. Also Zach Whitecloud (Vegas) 25 years old, they're in cap trouble. I believe he has a cap hit of 755k and then he's signed at 2.78M until 2026, that's a very reasonable deal for his excellent 2 way play.

They look like they're having fun out there finally, That was a huge goal by Olofsson and finally gets the weight lifted with the empty netter also. Since the All star break Dahlin has looked the best I've seen him and who knows he might turn into the player he was supposed to be. Tokarski has been really bad, I never thought he was great to begin with but that goal was terrible. Tuch has really amped everyone up you can tell, just how he is with everyone out there, he seems like a natural born leader imo. Great win!

I knew he'd be a bright spot, I hope he continues the excellent play. I think a guy like this would be an excellent captain! He reminds me alot of Shane Doan in Arizona all those years, solid player, great dude on and off the ice also would knock the hell out of you if you put your head down for a second and I'm getting those vibes from Tuch.

I don't have any breef about the all star games or pro bowls but I think of it as a more fun environment for the players not a very competitive game. I usually like the competition part but I haven't watched this or the pro bowls in a very long time.

Terrible but i can only imagine how much of this goes on and we never hear about it in all professional sports.

I don't follow college hockey but some of those guys after looking them up look promising, I won't act like I know how college hockey stacks up to the other minor leagues as far as competition etc. but I'd like to see them take a shot on 1 or 2 of those guys for sure.

And you state I'm harsh on Dahlin? I don't believe I've ever said "Die a fiery death" when talking about him.

i mean the tank concept never really sticks imo as you can want to lose all you want but the players will never be on board with that, Coaches are probably never on board with that. The best thing a GM can do is trade all the talent away and that still doesn't guarantee you'll get the #1 spot because this is still professional sports at the highest level and competitors at the highest level. If losing on purpose was a thing then you'd be hearing about this on a much deeper scale with bitter coaches, ex coaches, ex players etc.

All of them but Girgensons are gone so I'd say probably all of them in some way or another.

I'd have to say he genuinely believes that and you can just look at the Rochester Americans who are 2nd in the division and that he's seen many of them first hand.
