The average fan has come out with better ideas than the last two GMs. That’s scary. Simply horrible decisions. Mindboggling. This why we are what we are. Who would of traded all those assets for an unproven goalie who was a mental case and that big kid from LA who was slow? Who would of traded ROR for a bag of pucks? Worst trade in history. Who in their right mind signs Skinner to that contract? Who doesn’t hire a proven veteran coach? It’s unbelievably dumb.

You have to keep Skinner at least two more years before a potential buyout. Too much of a penalty over the next 13 years that we would take on. I think a veteran coach can turn him back into a 20 goal scorer and get value out of him.

Looks like the Sabres are heading towards the longest drought in history. We have set a new unprecedented standard of dysfunction and futility to the likes never seen before. And I’m not exaggerating. It’s staggering to behold. They are losing a fan base and that’s hard to do in Buffalo. Who in their right minds will buy season tix next year? Once they trade Jack and Sam and likely lose those trades, we could be looking at indefinitely bad hockey. There is nothing on the horizon which gives me hope at this moment. And I’m generally a positive person.

So it appears 4 regulation wins in 24 games and an 8 game losing streak is STILL not enough to get you fired in Buffalo. Losing is ok. What will it take? I honestly don’t think there is a single other organization that would of not pulled the plug by now. With a back to back against Pitt, and a game vs Washington thereafter, how embarrassing does this get?
