So Georges could get sheltered time and PK minutes and Franson could get sheltered time and PP minutes. Looks like we're going to see a ton of Risto, Bogo and hopefully Pysyk at ES. Sounds like I'll be holding my breath whenever anyone else is on the ice but those 3. Start praying Pysyk is as good as we've seen in +/- 70 games and Bogo stays healthy..... I don't want to rush things at all but even if we sign Franson, McCabe will have a real look at this.

Sam's vision and 'hockey sense' is his key attribute. To me that should be utilized as a center. I would have him as the third line C for next season and then hopefully work his way to 2nd line C in future years. We have enough legit top 6 players to afford the luxury of shielding him a bit on the third line but he also continues to play C at the NHL level.

I agree. I think he's a very underappreciated player. Another guy that can play centre but would have not problem pushing him to the wing. I think he could have a nice year playing on a third line with say Reinhart and Gionta.

Could it be he was playing hurt all year? Hence the surgery. (not being sarcastic, I really don't know how much he was affected by it)

I must say I always look forward to your posts in which you argue your point. Good use of advanced stats and a compelling case. I didn't think our D would be the train wreck as others have said based on my belief that Pysyk will have a larger impact than some are expecting and McCabe may even be ready for the jump. But reading things like this have me worried again.

Our little guy just doesn't want to come out already. My wife's due date was this past Monday and now we have Induction set up for this coming Monday at 9am. It's like the weird calm before the storm. In 4/5 days I will help her through labor and then it's sleepless night after sleepless night.....When we had our first we could do the whole sleep when the baby sleeps thing but I donno how this is going to go with the second. How do you experienced moms and dads survive multiple children?! Atleast I'm only taking two weeks off as work may become my sanctuary :P A two year old and a newborn is going to be a handful.....

This is surprising. My buddy is a huge Hawks fan and he talked him up when we spoke last night. Said he logged big minutes and played well in the playoffs and that was using only one good arm as he tore up his elbow. Said he's tough as nails.

You can buy them the night of. Sabres are advising you get there earlier than normal though as they are expecting lots of walk ups.

Yep. Toronto parking is a bitch. One of the other great things I love about Buffalo! It'll cost you $20 to $25 in almost any lot near the ACC or Rogers Centre. Some of the prime lots were going for $50 for the Blue Jays home opener last year. $50. For parking. :wallbash:
