  1. I continue to eagerly wait with great anticipation......
  2. I hope we can keep Blue draft randomized (and not just because I won last year). I don't want to have to think about tanking again (especially in fantasy hockey).
  3. It's probably nothing but interesting they label Johan Larsson as a LW instead of C. If they want him playing third line minutes rather than stuck on the 4th line that is the way it will have to go.
  4. Nice. He had a beauty assist on the tying goal as well.
  5. Any day 9 or later is good for me.
  6. Sounds good if that works. Draft is always the best part and presetting the rankings is just not the same.
  7. I'm not arguing Baptiste or Bailey will make the team, because they won't. But Baptiste was playing top line minutes with McDavid in Erie last season. I'm also pretty sure Bailey was on the top line in SSM once he was traded there.
  8. Wow what a terrible start to this league. Of course my other league is up huge and the Bills won so I'll let it slide for a week. But I was really hoping to steal one of the first two before Bell returns. Looks like the pressure is on already in Week 2.
  9. Any chance we could have it later as the kiddos don't go down until 8. Something like 9 works better for me but if that doesn't work for others I can just set my rankings for the draft.
  10. This sounds right and that's why this is a darkhorse prediction. But keep in mind our D includes Bogo, Gorges, Colo and Franson which are all players who have a high risk of injury. Either way I think we will see plenty of McCabe this season.
  11. Yep, I'm throwing my hat in the ring that he makes the team out of camp. Does management right now plan on him playing big minutes in Roch? Ya I think the Franson signing screams that. But McCabe was a man amongst boys in development camp and a damn good prospect. All he has to beat out is guys like Weber and Colo. I think he plays so well in training camp that they can't send him back. He's looked great in Buffalo the limited times he's been called up. I know it's crowded up there but it wouldn't be Pysyk trying to clear waivers it would be a guy like Colo/Donevan. To continue with my point, let's not forget McCabe was a relatively high draft pick and we are now 3 full years into his development. He was drafted after Grigo and Girgs in the 2012 draft. Since then he played 2 full seasons at U. of Wisconsin (putting up great numbers) and also a full year in Roch (looks like again, great numbers there for a rookie). With three full years under his belt I don't think him making this team is rushing him along. Guy has looked good everywhere he's played including winning a gold medal as team captain for USA's WJC team in 2013.
  12. All right I'll throw out my pairings Pysyk - Risto Gorges - Bogosian McCabe - Franson Weber/Colo Similar to Blue, I think all of the D pairings play similar minutes and although I have Pysyk at the top, I don't think he's going to get 26 min a game. I would guess somewhere around 22 min for each of the top 2 pairings and 16 for the third.
  13. Gutsy move but it looks like it paid off for you
  14. Me too  Less than a month and I can change it!
  15. I'm deep at RB so I was looking for a deal to make but unless Dez is involved I don't know how we could work anything out. I hate the look of my team but man, your team looks even worse :P
  16. I'm back in to defend my title in Blue. I see a lot in Gold, you guys afraid of how I destroyed the Blue League last season?
  17. This. I know management likely wants him playing big minutes on Roch but I wouldn't be surprised if he plays well enough in camp to stick.
  18. Not just that but a conference semi-finalist after knocking off the 'Nucks in the first round.
  19. I'm sure it will end up being the right move.
  20. Ya that's probably a good move. My sister-in-law rented her place for 3 years and decided to move back and live in the house. The place is a near write-off. Mold issues in the basement, junk everywhere, holes in several of the walls. A lot can go wrong with renting. Sorry to hear of your troubles, best of luck figuring out this (hopefully) last issue/expense.
  21. Man that's frustrating. Having someone come out for $600 just to assess the situation is obviously a huge kick in the pants. That's why I was thinking if you took some cash off the price it would reduce the risk of there being exponential costs if something is structurally wrong. Personally, if I found out there may be something structurally wrong with the place but didn't want to back out from the sale, I would prefer to have my own guy in there to fix it to ensure warranties etc.
  22. Slightly better list than this year if they all make it to UFA. I'm thinking that player will likely have to come through trade. We've already traded a few draft picks and prospects so I'm not sure what's still left in the cupboard to be moved.
  23. Wow Bio, sorry about the bad news. Any chance you could just knock $1,000 off the price and have the new owner do the work?
  24. Don't forget Reinhart. Unreal transformation from last year. Our depth up front is so good that guys like Larsson, Foligno and McGinn are going to fight for a spot in the top 9. Considering the average age, this forward group could be something special once they grow together. If Murray hits on Lehner and can eventually add a top Dman, we're looking pretty good in a year or two.
