Thanks for the info. I know losing Stanstny for nothing is fresh in their minds. Maybe them feeling panicked a bit has them pull the trigger for slightly less.

Both Schopp and the Bulldog were agreeing that Bogo was basically included in the deal upon Jets request as the Sabres had to 'take on more money'. Two days in a row I've heard both of them speak of Bogo like he's almost a liability. Yes, this sounds right.

IIRC there was a ton of hype around him after the draft. Maybe I phrased it poorly but he was talked about as our future #1 center.

It is. To me, I'd be fine trading some of them for guys for players who are still young but established. Who knows how Grigo will turn out but at one time he was the next coming and now his stock has dropped pretty low. I love a lot of our prospects but the odds are this could happen to some of them.

Ya, I'm at the point where I hope Arizona either trades the pick or passes on Strome so the leafs can take the hometown kid. Maybe he was playing hurt in the OHL finals but there are some serious issues with his skating. He looked slower than Reinhart in his draft year and did not seem to have nearly the intelligence and anticipation Sam has.

Why do we have to stop at just 1? We don't have to cap ourselves on very good top 6 players who play excellent 2 way games. Come the Conference finals you're dying for as many of those guys as you can get your hands on. I don't understand the Zemgus is our RoR point.

Asking price from Colorado or what it will take? I don't think anybody is cool with Zemgus in part of the deal. Whether a deal gets done that does not include Zemgus is another story.

I'm not sure there's a sense of urgency. But established, high ceiling players under 25 don't become available very often. When they do I want GMTM to be making the inquiries and be prepared to strike if the opportunity arises. Only players that fit within this teams timeframe however (ie. nobody over 27 or 28).

Good points all around. To me it all comes down to what Colorado is asking for in return. Eichel, Reinhart, Risto and Girgs are my only untouchables in a deal. Remember when Drury wanted $5 mil per around 8 years ago? That was star money back then and DR wouldn't pay it. :wallbash: :wallbash: Better not happen.

I guess that's nice if you live local....... Hahahhahaha yep. From New Year's until the end of the season there is one Saturday night home game. It's also the same night as the NFL playoffs (which we hope the Bills are playing in). They couldn't have made that game an afternoon and changed say 3 or 4 of the 7 1pm games to 7pm?

This is probably true (I will be taking my two year old). But with it being the first 'game like environment' for Eichel as a Sabre then I want to be there. It was pretty cool last year and it should be even better this year. I'm hoping Jack and Reinhart are split up and start the game facing off against each other.
