I have loved Guhle. His speed and willingness to jump into the offensive zone is a breath of fresh air. Sure he looks like a rookie in the D zone but man, you can't teach that speed. Ullmark looked pretty good. Agree that rebound control was a bit of an issue and he got lucky with a couple of posts but one goal on 45 shots or whatever? That's still impressive. He sure looks like the goalie of the future. Saying that, let both guys finish the year in Roch with maybe one more late season callup. Keep them away from this tire fire.

I agree with Liger's logic as well. Having said that, eating Bogo's contract the next two years is brutal.

Why you guys bringing up these memories? I miss those teams. By the way that may have been Foligno's first game as a Sabre (it was around then) and it was also his best game as a Sabre. Really thought he would of turned into something more after watching that one.

Ugh. That's a horrible list. This rebuild or whatever you want to call it is not going to be very quick. I know it'll take time to develop prospects but I'm hoping we can get a first for Kane. We also need to hit one out of the park this coming draft. Whether it be our likely high first rounder and/or a later pick. Other teams seem to hit on non-first round picks. Why can't we? Guhle looks promising but who's the last one? Other than McCabe it's few and far between the past 6 or 7 years.

Liger, don't bring stats into the Eichel bashing. Not even calling out the other poster, I've seen some pretty heavy criticism of Jack. Got into it with my uncle over the holidays. He's not only on pace for the highest point total of any Sabre over the past decade but he's doing it on a team that is historically bad at scoring goals. This isn't the 05-07 Sabres, obviously. On top of that the PP sucks and most these points are coming at even strength. Yes the team sucks. No Jack Eichel does not suck.

Actually the pace is 74 points which no sabre has done for ten straight seasons.

Listened to housley interview on wgr on the way in. He said were going to really start evaluating things going forward from now until the end of the season. I don't know but just the way he kept saying it makes me think jbott will be busy over this bye week.

All Bama fans out there can thank me. My brother is a big Falcons fan and somehow that also translates to being a big Georgia fan. I bet him some money on the game last night and was pissed and shut the game off in the second half thinking it was over. I turned it off right after the long Georgia TD and then subsequent INT. Still have no idea how that Bama offense put up the points necessary to win. Guess I'll be watching some highlights now.

Not sure there's anything JBott can do if Lehner is on IR. I would think Ullmark would be right pissed if they called up any goaltender except for him. I'm really rooting for this guy but if he gets lit up I don't see any other move JBott could have made.

I thought middlestadt looked pretty good still last night. Not as dominate as previous games but could of easily had a goal and assist or two. Good luck tonight Modo. It's Canadian hunting season and I see some swedes wondering about.

Common Sabrespace. I think the team is actually turning a corner here. Points in 9 of the last 12 or something. They were unwatchable in October and November. Atleast the team is playing much better as of late.
