Yep. It was an unbelievably frustrating offseason watching GMKA reluctance to do much of anything. All of these issues looked obvious to most fans yet KA basically sat on his hands. Frankly, I’m surprised KA isn’t taking more heat right now. This years failure is more on him than anyone else.

Skinner puts up the points for sure. This team gets killed because of their team defense on most nights. Benson sure looks to have a much better 200 foot game imo.

They have outplayed Yotes pretty bad this period imo. Just UPL doing UPL things. Some great signs but his warts always seem to randomly continue showing up.

His development has been fun to watch. Small bright spot on this season.

I’m good with keeping benson with Tuch and Thompson for now but curious to see how he looks with Quinn later in the year.

This is a recording..... I'm back to where I was all last summer. This team is 2 D upgrades and a veteran goalie away from being legitimate.

When you factor in defensive awareness I think Benson is close to a better player today. When you factor in that he's only 18 years old, it won't even be close soon enough. Love Skinner on the O but his D is straight trash.

To be honest I would like to see this. I would like to get the sense that they actually do care. The way he has his team coming out to start hockey games, particularly when they've had such a rough stretch, seriously has me wondering if he does care or what the hell is going on here.

Another infuriating thing I noticed was coming out of the tv timeout in the third period, half a period left and I think Sabres were still down 4-1. It’s an offensive zone face off and meatballs had the fourth line out for the o zone face off. It’s as disappointing as it is shocking with his decisions sometimes. I go to the arena not entertained more than I am. I think I’m ready to see if the grass is greener on the other side.

Watching the last two endings to the games I can’t believe how many times I look down to see okposo on the ice. How does Granato think that’s who should be out there so often when they’re down late?!?! Baffling.

Agreed. Their record feels worse because of the high expectations but they haven’t yet dug themselves an insurmountable hole.

I’m not discounting it even if it’s shown more on the pk. It has been a revelation this year and he either didn’t get the right opportunity in years past or flat out didn’t have the defensive awareness and/or ability to defend with his reach in years past. He has that this year and even if it helps the pk more than 5 on 5 it’s been a nice surprise and welcomed addition to his game.

Huge missed opportunity imo. Feels like the way things finished last year we were a big addition or two from taking right off. Instead, we got Clifton and Johnson (although EJ has really helped the PK). We knew before free agency that Quinn was going to be out long term but the answer seems to have been not to trade VO. Nobody else brought in.

I have no idea why jost isn’t playing every game.

We shouldn’t require 4 straight losses to get there. Winning but being outshot 40-15 should have started ringing some alarm bells.

Only thing going for us tonight is the Leafs D is supposedly horrendous this year (even considering years past). Atleast that's the intel from all the leaf fans I know. The Sabres usually play better in games they can move the puck around more easily and trade chances. Not the clog up the neutral zone type games.

Hope we go UPL tonight and Levi tomorrow.
