So if every available player from the last 3 drafts plus this are available he goes 5th? 1 - McDavid 2/3 - Eichel and Matthews 4 - Laine 5 - Dahlin I know D can be a bit more risky. But looking at teams like Nashville that kill it from the D out. I would love to build around a top end D.

I'm terrible with user names so I appoligize. But the draft guru on here that has the charts and assigns a value to each player going into the draft. Where do you have Dahlin? Can't remember, where did you have Eichel?

We don't have enough Dahlin threads yet. Including this one, going back to the McDavid/Eichel draft, where does Dahlin go? I think there's a real argument to be 2nd behind McDavid.

Yep. I over rate Sabres prospects but from other analysts I've heard 'Connor mcdavid of defensemen', 'best d prospect to come out since perhaps Denis potvin.'. Christ that was pushing 50 years ago. Due to my age I wasn't able to watch potvin. How did his career end up going?

Am I correctly reading that in 2014/15 he played 5 games in some division 2 league and scored 27 goals?? 27 goals, 9 assists for 36 points....in 5 games? WTF?? Then, same year, after 5 games he moves up to division 1 and puts up 19 goals, 29 assists for 48 points in only 15 games. Even if that's beer league that's unbelievable

I would be happy with a 40 point season. I'm thinking we will see something similar to Jack's rookie year. Up and down at times but you get those exciting moments and flashes that take you out of your seat and wonder just how good he can become.

Oh I plan on heading there next. Just imagine risto now playing a reasonable 23 min a game. So much changes now.
