That's really not an answer to my question. I asked you what Krueger was doing wrong? -

How is Krueger part of the problem? -
Do we start donating to some charity now? Sorry, too soon?

GDT: 1/15/21 7pm ET Washington @ Buffalo - FREE GAME ON NHL.com

When should we expect him to live up to the hype of #1 overall 'generational' player? I just see something missing with him. That little extra that makes someone great. -

I watch him and think, not that fast, not much of a shot, weak defensively.... , -
Those were trades that helped both teams. It shouldn't be outlawed. This isn't charlie finley trading off his best players for nothing in return.

Can the Sabres make the Playoffs In this new division?
klos1963 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I would rather have a talented scorer on the wing. Take advantage of Eichel and Hall as linemates. It's possible Okposo can score a bit more because he has offensive skills, but I'm not concerned about having a 'mucker' on the line. Eichel is great at puck possession on his own. -

Why put a 4th liner on our top line? Don't get that. -

Playing only divisional games will likely keep the standings tight. I could imagine many 2 game splits on most of those back to back games. Hard to think one team will win 7 or 8 against 1 team. -
I already knew to ignore you. LOL

I got 3 notifications that you replied, only seeing one. Did I miss something?

Buffalo fans have such an inferiority complex. Really need to get help. Like George.
-
They'll say it's a huge acquisition for the Sabres.

My question would be why would Dahlin take a long term deal now for much less than one he could possibly earn 2 years later. You did address that in your last sentence, but it's a significant factor.
-
I understand. The poster, in replying to my comment, mentioned Eichel signing a bridge deal. I only pointed out that he did not.
-
Jack didn't sign a bridge, Sam did though.
-
Why would Dahlin sign a lessor long term deal now, when , as you say, he's destined to become an 'elite multi faceted defenseman ' when he could demand a contract commensurate with the value of an elite defenseman. By multi faceted to you mean along with offense, he'll be a physical, strong defensive player, because I think that's a stretch. He's not worth $8 million a year today.
-
Why would Dahlin sign a 6x8 deal when in 2 seasons, he could likely get 8x10? His bridge deal would be more 2x6, not 2x4.
-
No reason to while he's still under team control. We keep hearing that he's still so young and isn't there yet, so why give him a contract that he hasn't earned yet?
-
Unless Dahlin is in Norris trophy territory, he's not getting $8 million, likely bridge contracts like Reinhart's. 2 years $5-6 million.
-
Who do we pass in the standings? Which teams ahead of us take a step back, which teams behind us improve?
-
It really comes down to goaltending. We should be strong enough in other areas with just normal, expected performances.

Sabres Sign 2020 First Round Pick Jack Quinn to ELC
klos1963 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I know it might sound like i'm crapping on Dahin but I'm not. But points aren't the only judge of a player. Housley was a crappy defensive player, just horrible. Who can forget the great Rick Hampton...lol -

Orr won his first Norris as a 19 year old. then just went crazy. I'm not writing him off, just see a need for major improvement.
