Well, you've convinced me.

This is a really stupid post, but i'll put my comment here anyway. Jack hasn't said anything in public since his end of the season interview, he didn't mouth off before or since, he didn't say anything out of line when he did speak. He's obviously upset with the organizations performance over the years and he's unhappy with his injury situation. That's all we really know. They'll probably trade him , Pegula probably sees an out from his contract and with people like you spreading this crap, he probably thinks it will ease the pain if the fans turn on Jack. Look at Jack, don't look at this clown show of an organization, entrusting someone with zero experience to trade away our top players.

Yeah, I remember hearing that ROR was a cancer too. This team will suck next season if we trade Eichel, Rienhart and Risto, add in not signing Ulmark and we'll be looking at #1 pick again.

Give me the Quinn era over the Pegula era any time.

Sabres Option: Trading the Pick for a Roster Player
klos1963 replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
That's the problem, why would any player who gets traded here sign a long term deal if they don't have to? I sound like a broken record here, but trade Eichel , Rienhart and Risto after trading ROR (and keep finishing last) and it will be near impossible to get quallity UFA's to sign here. -
It's makes sense as things stand now, it's been royally f'd up. Let me state that i don't think it will help the team, but it's inevitable because it's a piss poor organization. I don't agree that we should trade Eichel.
-
I agree. It does make sense to trade them now, but it's a mess and won't get better because of the trades.
-
My point is Adams approach is BS. He's setting us up for when he trades our best players and we suck again. "They didn't want to be here", his job now is to make this a place to want to play. What quality FA will want to sign with Buffalo if we trade Eichel, Sam and Risto... and Ulmark leaves. It's crazy. Risto has been a good soldier, giving 100% all the time. I'm sure he's tired of being in Buffalo, but he's been a loyal , team player.
-
I'm guessing those players have no choice but to be here. Like I said, a player like Cozens is under contract and will be under team control for some time now.
-
I can't imagine if you asked any player if they want to be in Buffalo, they would say yes, but people like Cozens, Dahlin.... have no choice, they are under team control for a while.
-
We're likely drafting Power, so the loss of defensemen shouldn't matter. Plus if need be, we could try to get a dman in return for Risto.
-
Obviously if the Sabres prefer someone other than Power it makes sense to move down 1 spot. But why not acquire something instead of just dumping a player. If we end up trading Eichel, Sam and Risto, that makes our cap issues moot til Okposo is off the books on it's own.
-
I think all he has to do is ask for a trade and he'll be gone. But his health will dictate when and if that happens. I personally feel that he has already asked for that and the Sabres agreed, but asked him to not say it publicly so to not hurt their bargaining position. I think if he was staying, we would know that by now. I hope I'm wrong, I think it will be a huge mistake to trade him.
-
You have no idea if that's actually what they are doing. This meeting could be as simple as sitting down with doctors, who, after reviewing his medical records will discuss the next course of action and then proceeding from there. I'm guessing it's not contentious at all. This is what our doctors see, this is what your doctors see, let's discuss.

How many teams have coaching vacancies right now?
-
Which is why organizations generally don't trade away franchise type players.
-
Tampa v Florida is a wild one too.
-
It won't get any better trading Eichel, even if we get a decent return. Free agents will not want to come to a team that always loses and trades ROR and Eichel.... not a good look that your best players don't want to play there and you can't give them a good reason to want to stay.
-
Who will be the first one to ask for a trade?
-
I get that, but does he even have a doctor that suggests surgery? That's where I'm confused, again, the 2nd opinion he got agreed with the Sabres medical staff.
-
The odd thing to me is that according to Adams, the 2nd opinion that Eichel got concurred with the team doctors, so why the disconnect. At it's most innocent, it's Eichel just really pissed after the crappiest season ever, or he's laying down his position now that leads to him asking to be traded.
